Right, so I've never dared venture into the land of customizing because...well..frankly it just seems so friggin hard :-(

But my collection needs a classics shockwave and I was bored a few nights ago and well...here's the result so far:

The head is still a work in progress, but it's a start at least, right?

    Comments/suggestions appreciated.

Fantastic job so far, and if his head is any indication, you're going to have a awesome Shockwave on your hands.
    Can't wait.:thumb

PERFECT looking Shockwave head! What body are you going to use or are you starting one from scratch?

Wow, thanx guys for all the positive feedback - really means alot to me, especially coming from highly skilled customizers as yourselves.

I will be making it all from scratch I think, I've started work on the torso, but am far from done.

I have a really clear image in my head of what I want the finished Shockwave to look like and how I want it as far as articulation goes and finding shockwave parts in Voyager scale that will enable it to transform the way I want it to seems to be harder than I thought - I have been looking at the Megatron mold, but nah - I'm too picky to use that...but you never know - I guess I'll have to see as the project progresses.

Unfortunatly I have a very demanding job so I will only be able to work on the project on weekends so it might take a week or 2 before I'm able to give you a new update, but I will do my best to give you updates as soon as I can.

Again, thank you for all your support.

    Looks amazing!

i was planning to try this and print it on shapeways. My design was the IDW style head and had a neck piece that the head goes into like a revoltech head. I planned on using it on either the darkmount mold or a modified cyclonus but stopped collecting classics decepticons in favor of going for a MP con display. Might try to upscale the design and customize my KO G1 shockwave if i can find some legs for it.

That looks great, are you sure you've never used styrene before? If so you've definitely got a knack for it.
