When I saw the Walmart exclusives I was immediatly drawn to turning the red alert mold into Trailbreaker. The laser hand and lasers on the backpack screamed the G1 character. It's a little odd of a build and a little short but I think it does the trick. I removed the lights from the top and removed his ears. I used a Reprolables set from the G1 toy for the added touches. This was my second try at using Sharpie for tinting the windows and as you can see, at some angles its purple so blue is a little tricky. Enjoy, TT
Very nice job man. I'm working on one of these right now and I'm using parts from Cannonball, Red Alert and Crankcase to minimize of the paint rub factor. I was thinking the whole time the windows were supposed to be red but now I see blue was the Cartoon colors, darn it. I think I'll keep them red though. I wasn't planning on removing the top lights either cuz it makes his head popping out that much more noticable
Great work,i agree that the mold is a little small but everything else fits Trailbreaker perfectly. Very nice now do Hoist
Nice. This is a sweet looking Trailbreaker. It's a pity he hasn't gotten a new toy in so long but at least we know that there are plenty of potential molds floating around.
I like it kinda looks like a Dodge Magnum. Great spin on an old classic. I saw this in walmart yesterday, almost got him but Lockdown was 7.77 could not pass on him anymore.
Very nice! Trailbreaker (one of the first G1's I ever got as a kid, and a favorite of mine) has gotten the shaft wat too many times. This definately does him justice!
