Minor/Repaint: Classics/Universe Dead End - My First Custom Figure!

    Thanks for the update on the pics. I'm on the same page with you about the roof/windshield look being inferior to the hood chest but as I mentioned I'm planning an Armada Wheeljack from Sunstreaker with the hood as his chest and I think I'll go for a Deadend with the extra Sideswipe with roof as chest and swap the heads. The different transformations will sort of give me evil twin counterparts. Thanks for the inspiration!

    Try wet sanding. Use 1000-grade sand paper or higher (1500 or 2k), and soak it with water. Keeping it wet, sand the parts evenly. You do not want to sand through the coat, just lightly scuff the layer. Once that's complete, rinse your parts and let them dry. When they're dry, spray them lightly with one to three coats of gloss sealant. You should get a smooth, candy-paint shine.

    beautiful paint scheme. this could start a trend, Classics/Universe figs done up in Alternators colors. cheers, TerminalHipster.
