    Hi guys!

I finally got around to doing this repaint. I took the Universe Acidstorm and repainted him over to Thundercracker. I know it has all been done before, but I thought I'd share what I have been up to.

I tried to paint the stripes on the wings, but I couldn't quite get them right so I improvised a bit. I bought some auto pin stripe sticker rolls and cut them to fit. I also used my Repolables symbols.

    So watchya think?

Looks nice. It definitely beats spending $75 for an exclusive (which I did :(  and then sold :) ).

    Very nice....

And agreed, It looks easy to do this and you don't have to pay the 75 for a classics TC win-win :)

    beautiful job, very nice.

it's prob. the pics, but it looks like the paint might be oversprayed? looks like the details to the mold are filled in and what not with too much paint.

prob. not, but if so, just apply a few thin layers of the beautiful blue you picked out.

if this "is" the case, it still looks great and cant wait to see more. I'm finally getting around to sunstorm, so whoohoo!

cant wait to see more of your work to come

*edit* and those improvised sticker rolls look really good

Nice looking Thundercracker. The paint does look on the thick side but doesn't detract from the figure at all. The camera can sometimes pickup stuff the eye can't on the actual figure.

looks like all it's missing is black tailfins.

My camera picks up things that seem to escape the naked eye or over exaggerate small flaws. LOL

I might go back and touch up the tailfins and paint them black, good suggestion! :)

Clever solution for the stripes. I might go that route if I ever make my own TC since I'm not too good with straight lines, even when masking.
