I picked up an extra acid storm to turn into thundercracker. Overall, i'm pretty happy with him. need to touch-up a few spots. Cheers,

thanks. the metallic blue is some paint called folkart. it's some cheap paint that i've been getting from walmart. it's been working well so far.

can anyone help me with this problem?

i've reapinted my classics wheeljack and i was spraying on a clear coat. it made his black parts whitish/cloudy. did i spray too much on or is this normal? i cant stand the way it looks. any help would be awesome.

Too much usually causes that. Either that or a chemical reaction, what primer, paint and sealer did you use?

nice work. you just saved yourself an ass-load of money. does the paint chip much when transforming?

thanks. my previous repaints, i hand-painted them and they chipped pretty easily when transforming. thundercracker is my first one that i used an airbrush on, which was really cool considered it took less time. and it seems that airbrushing reduces chipping a lot. i've had hardly no chipping so far.

Very good! I love seeing custom Thundercrackers--the more, the merrier! Yours turned out absolutely clean. The jet mode pic looks factory-painted!

And I just picked up Acid Storm. I love the fact that the parts that need to be black for a lot of the other Seekers are actually molded in black on him. I think he's a much better platform for making TCrackers just on that alone. Of course, that's putting aside the fact that he's the only one available right now...

I used a bit of Folk Art Copper Metallic to highlight my Classics 2.0 Wheeljack. .99c for about 1 ounce, and it seems to work great. Good to hear someone else is having luck with them!

Yeah, you definitely sprayed on too much. Happened to me while i was doing my Acid Storm's chest too. Had to recover the clouded areas again but i managed to fix it.
