I'm now done with the four main seekers. I really don't want to do any more, but a part of me wants to do a generic seeker and that crazy green one.

Anyways, here are some pics of Thundercracker and Sunstorm. I have some faction symbols coming in for Thundercracker. I don't think I'm going to put any on Sunstorm. Sunstorm was the figure I was having issues with the paint, you can probably see it in the pics. The Paint was wanting to "draw" away from edges. He came out acceptable in the end.

Overall these were fun to repaint, but time consuming.... taking out all the pins, making sure you don't lose pins or screws, masking, touchups, etc...

I'm looking forward to doing the coneheads when Ramjet comes out.

I really dig that Sunstorm...I think I want to try doing that.

Did you use a black marker or something to detail it?

Its actually a brown gundam marker. I tried black, but it was too much of a contrast.

the highlights on his arms and feet is thinned down gray paint. Capillary action does most of the work, just have to wipe away the excess gently with a rag and thinner after the paint drys.

    Thanks for the compliments guys.

I know you used vinyl dye's for the previous two seekers. Did you use a similar process for Thundercracker? In fact, do you mind sharing the colour #'s used for him?

    Beautiful work.

I was never a particular fan of the whole Sunstorm concept, but that looks really good. Those look the hotness in jet mode particularly.

    Awesome stuff :thumb

Everyone one you've done so far has been a winner. Your update coloring for Starscream is still my favorite, but these two newest editions are up to par. Great job!

Excellent work! I wish that Hasbro had gone with those colour schemes for the seeker mould...

Now you have to do a shot with Sunstorm fighting an armoured-up Jetfire!

    'You cannot deny my destiny!'

'Sorry Sunstorm - I don't believe in destiny.'

I didn't use the dye totally on the two, which is unfortunate because it makes them more touchy during transformations.

    Thundercracker had the following colors:
Black: Mar-Hyde Jet Black, the same stuff on Sky Warp
Blue: Model Master Racing Blue 2940, I wanted a blue inbetween the cartoon and the toy, this seemed to fit the bill.
Silver: Tamiya silver, there are a few types, just have to pick the one you like.

    Sunstorm
The body is Tamiya Brilliant Orange, this was the one I had trouble with.... still haven't figured out why it was drawing away. More experiementation needed.

The torso is Model Master Go Mango 28106. Its supposed to be part of a custom laquer system from Testors that needs to be clear coated to get it glossy.... I hate glossy toys at this level so I just left the clear coat off. You'll find this paint in the car section at your favorite model shop.
The white is SEM vinyl paint white. It works ok, but you need to used the adhesion promter on the feet or it will scape off.

Again, thanks for the compliements everyone.
