This guy has taken me so long to finish but he's 99% done.
Just need to finish the trailer so the chest armour has somewhere to go in vehicle mode.

I hope to get round to doing all the turbo masters at some point.

He's reminding me of a Generation 2 toy, of whom I'm having the biggest trouble to find a picture of! Am I right and this based on the guy I'm talking about, or am I just being crazy?

WOW! very nice man! youve done a great job on this guy, just throw in a little of the crazy euro neon green from the botcon and original release to break up the other colors a tad. otherwise beautiful!

 

Haha! It IS the one I was thinking of. Last I saw this guy was in a catalogue in 1993!

I still have Flash and Boss, battered and broken at my folks' home.

looking great. that being said, it looks so ugly (in that perfect G2 sort of way) the chest armour is a nice touch and the face really makes this differnet than all the Optimi (pl?) out there. you might want to touch up the gold on the legs (particularly the back of the knees) and the red looks a little funky, (might be some blue peeking through). Otherwise i'd give you two thumbs up for the idea and execution.

 

that's a real TF's face. Nice job grafting that on the head, btw! I love the chest plate... nice use of the front part of Cybertron Downshift's launchers, too. Can't wait to see the trailer for this bad boy.

My only critique is I see a few small areas that could use some touchups.. on the legs. the inner parts of those kneecaps have blue showing through the gold, and above the ankle some of the red is a little thin, too.

 

Thanks! There are the few odd spots that need touching up, as always i never see them till its photo time. The gold is a really thin paint but comes out really shiny but will need another couple of coats. The red is actaully really vibrant in person, I put the funkyness of the red down to my old camera.

Thanks! The face was from a cybertron votger starscream, it was quite easy to hollow out the Prime head. Well spotted on Downshifts launchers!!! The trailer is a repainted BTS trailer.

Well, Cashanova I think your take of Thunderclash is impressive..especially the chest armor..very creative. So what are the plans for him next like a trailer of sorts...need details.

 

Thanks! I'm using the BTS trailer repainted to match the main figure. I'm stiping out some of the original features to make an area to hang his armour. I'm still considering making more armour pieces and weopons, like a pair of energon gauntlets.

Really nice concept, and the face transplant and chest armor kick ass.

 

I love the concept and you pulled it off well, only thing i do not like is the chest armor blocking his face.

 

I thought thunderclash might look good from this mould, I think the chest assembly from cybertron wingsaber to put the vane on his chest might work better than just partsformering though.
