To bad you didn't have the holes on the underside of the wings to attach his weapons. (But that's minor.) Otherwise I really impressed by this custom. Looks amazing.

He's dull on purpose, I don't like my decepticons shiny.

I didn't mold the wings, they are made up of Starscream's wings, Ramjet's wings, parts from two A-10 models, and styrene.

To address the wings on the leg issue. I really fought with it and the only way I make it look right was to make the wings fold in like an acordian so the profile wasn't as much.... I don't have the patience or tools to make that work. I would love to see another custom where it could be pulled off and look ok.

Anyways, thanks for the compliments guys. Now I need to get Dirge started.

Not to sound like an ass, but don't listen to the "wings on the legs" crowd, this came out great. Thrust was my first figure back in 86 and he has always had a special place in my heart. I wish I had the skill to make this for myself. Great work again.
What the hell does this even mean?

I have to also say that it turned out awesome. I've been wanting to do something similar and now that I've seen how it can look, it makes me want to work on it that much more.

Also, I guess I am in the minority of people that like the wings up like you made them. They just didn't look right to me on the legs... although I know that is how they were in the 'toon. Then again, I never really cared for the way they did that either... heheh.

    Keep up the great work!

I see in the last picture what you meant about the Mar-Hyde vinyl dye not taking to the wing hinges. Did the dye just rub off with the friction of transformation?

How is the dye holding up on the rest of the figure? Does it feel tougher than paint? Also, did you panel-line him after applying the dye?

Really nice work, btw... I'm loving all your seeker custom jobs so far, and although I've never been a big fan of the "coneheads" this is sweet by any measure.

Looks really nice. Wings on the back don't bother me. Have you thought of mirroring that red/white stripe sticker the original has?

I like it. It doesn't have to have the wings on the legs. It is classics, not master piece. Doesn't have to be EXACTLY G1. It looks really well done.

I really like the shoulder mounted wings, for that old school look. Nice work, my man.

Yes, it rubbed off with friction from transformation on those parts. On the rest of the figure, the dye is on like armor, it would take a lot to get it off. Yes, he was panel-lined in flat black when I finished.

I did, but I wasn't sure it would look ok so I just left them off. I can always go back and put them on later.

Again, thanks for the compliments everyone.

That is awesome. What kind of paint did you use, and where'd you get the fans from?

Yup. Your custom is looking more enticing now with the unveiling of the Botcon set.

Hey Runamuck, where did you get those VTOL looking thrusters for Thrust so that when I do a custom I'm not using something that I shouldn't use.
