Well, hello there. Thanks for stopping by.

Considering the excitement around the new film and the mainstream intro of The Fallen into TF lore, I decided to read The Dark Ages to get a good take on The Fallen as originally written. He's MUCH more effective and ominous, so I thought I'd present a version of The Fallen for the "Classics" line, based on his appearance in "The Dark Ages".

Here he is given the "Classics" treatment, which means bringing the character up-to-date with a modern appearance. He was shown as being locked away in a room with a symbol by Primus long ago, but he's escaped his prison once again to wreak havoc in 2009!!!

The "Titanium" version was small and wimpy, the character was portrayed as very powerful, and I wanted at least a voyager scale figure. He's based off of Armada Megatron, who is quite large. I created the faceplate with apoxie-sculpt, then went to work on the flames with hot-glue. They are all fully removable and can turn in any direction you like. They attach on the mini-con ports, except for one, and it uses a tiny but strong rare earth magnet. The symbols on the shoulders were covered with square plastic pieces I harvested from some other toy. The "horns" were removed, and the gaps replaced with styrene. The head was removed, and I installed a ball joint for the neck so he can look in any direction. You can see the tiny flame effects coming from the eyes.

I painted him black, then traced out all the inferno lines with silver, then translucent orange for that reflective, fiery look. I tried to get some photos in different lighting to illustrate just how reflective the fiery parts appear. I then went back and gave him some detail, such as mud, scuffing etc. He had this worn, stove-pipe look in The Dark Ages, and I think this mold captures that look with all the line work which suits the "inferno stove look" well. I wanted a beaten up, flat look.

Thanks for looking, any and all comments, critiques, love and hate are encouraged!

    The flames are definitely eyecatching.

I like that your Fallen's head does not resemble Optimus Prime. That was one of the things I considered a problem with the original Fallen design. I can see the purple on your Fallen's helmet working as a hint that his head became the basis for the Decepticon symbol.

That being said, I think the Decepticon symbol should have been covered up.

that's pretty damn sweet!!!! except i don't like the purple parts in robot mode. to me, it just clashes too much against the rest of the excellent color scheme

The design for The Fallen was loosely based off of Armada Megatron's bot mode body (Minus the tank treads on the shoulders). When Pat Lee drew the original concept art of The Fallen that Furman had created the character of.

Pat Lee mentioned when he was interviewed back in 2003 on the subject of the character's design, That he had a Armada Megatron Toy on his desk and started designing the look of The Fallen off of it so I look at this as a circle of cyberlife thing lol...

    Looks awesome.

Very nice. Great use of Armada Megatron. Were it not for the tread shoulders I wouldn't have recognized him. Good stuff man.

BTW, how articulate is the Armada Megatron figure anyway? Never had him...

Fantastic. Great use of the megatron mold. Would have been even better if you did the leg mod to give him the added articulation. Still, very nice.
