Just wondering if anyone has ever created a replacement fist or complete arm for the Classics Tank Megatron gimmick arm? (Shapeways or Garage Co.) If so could someone point in the direction where I could purchase.

*Note: Mods if this is in the wrong forum please feel free to move. Thanks!

This forum can be slow at times but you shouldn't despair.

Not that I'm aware of. However, I've seen people swap the arms out with those of its 2-pack partner (deluxe OP). One snaps on naturally, whereas the other needs to be slightly modded to fit. Of course, you'd need to alter the transformation slightly to incorporate the tank parts from Megatron's arms.

Seems easy enough to just swap a hand/arm with a deluxe.

That could be the case with alot of figures before someone makes the upgrade for it and we collectors scramble to purchase. This as a possible Shapeways project reminds me of the Fairlady trio "back filler", I bring that up because not every project/upgrade will appeal to everyone. But, just thought I'd check to see if one existed.

The tip of the barrel can go on the 'tab' on his arm and act as a hand. :/

Also waiting more than five hours for an answer is good practice with patience

I think I am going to try my hand at sculpting and casting an addon hand or arm for this figure. I will update on my progress as it goes.

Keep in mind a spare deluxe sized part will probably cost less than anything on shapeways and certainly be less trouble than sculpting.

If you were doing a WSF perhaps, but I like detail so I tend to prefer a resin casted piece. I might consider both. I wonder if it would be better to do an entire arm or just the hand. The existing arm really doesnt have an elbow joint which sort of sucks. I'll have to take a closer look at my Thunder Megatron when I get home.

This is cool to hear I will keep an eye out. I'd likely by a couple if you go foward with this.
