Does anyone have real clear pictures of how the guns attach to the engines?

It is supposed to be a flimsy fit?

Yeah, the fit is pretty poor. I think if you squeeze it tight enough, it sort of 'clicks,' but even then it ain't holding very tight.

I noticed on the older Sideswipe, Sunstreaker mould has that issue. It seems that on the newer Gen. Red Alert, they kind of fixed it. On my Red Alert it actually snaps nicely making it a snug fit..

My Red Alert is the only version of that mold I have. Those two pieces do not stay in any state that can be considered connected.

Don't bother with that. Leave the guns as-is.

My Sunstreaker and Sideswipe have issues with the engine.

I've heard Red Alert is worse?

I have never had a problem with the connection. Do you line up the slots on the air intake portions of the engine over the middle part of the gun? The engine fits a little more towards the front then you might think too. Sorry, I don't have the toys handy to add a pic, but it isn't that complicated if you keep that in mind. Hope that helps.
