I love the Classics SS mold. But the deco looks like a circus clown threw up a rainbow all over him. The 'bot needs his dignity.

As I said earlier, I totally desintigrated my SS with paint remover. Well... I put him back together with spit and chewing gum, and he was in good enough shape to paint. Here he is.

That g1-style paint job is sweet, but you really should have gotten a new Starscream to do it on. Parts of him are melted!

Lol. Well... I couldn't just throw a toy away. :)  I know it's just this side of being a junker, which is why the paint apps look like they were thrown on in about 15 minutes. :D

Just something to hold me over until I can get my hands on a new one.

Ehhhh... The animation Starscream never had it, and real jets don't have it, so I'm leaving it off.

Pretty much every single place there is a pin, the plastic crumbled around it like dry sand. I had to superglue 10,000 little chips back into place. The left elbow got it the worst. There was just no reconstructing it and it is now frozen straight with a giant blob of glue.

well i could see the elbow, i was just curious what else since it really doesn't look that bad if you ignore the elbow.

going for a realistic jet instead of character accurate? he looks hawt, the only thing I would've done differently myself would be the blue tailfins.

Pretty much. But I don't think anything "real life" would have the red on the tail.... But I wanted more realistic than G1 anyway.

I was debating the blue tail, but I think two accent colors on the jet mode might be a bit much.

I like the paintjob, don't get me wrong, but what was wrong with the pearlized silver that his body was made out of?

Pretty much yeah. But thats what I like about Leader-1 so much. Of course his robot mode is by default very plain though...

And other than the Melting problems, thats a kickass job. Im thinking of trying to mod some add-on shoulder pads and a crown for him.

Heh - as soon as I find out how to do that in a cost-effective manner, I want to do so myself.
