Looks great, I have but one crit, and this probably has more to do with personal preference than anything, the panel lining seems too dark, I would have gone with a shade of gray, perhaps just slightly darker than the plastic color.

But like I said, personal preference, and he does look good.

Yeah, I kinda agree with you that the panel lining came out a little dark although the pics make it look slightly darker than it is. It was my first attempt at it, so next time I may go with a lighter shade.

Hey that looks good. Damn there's goes another set I need to buy.

The panel lining's not bad either, almost makes him resemble the MP version.
Id PL all my figs if I could.
Only did a few and Unicron came out cool

Excellent, he's perfect! A real masterpiece for $9.99 + the price of label set from reprolabels.

that did turn out really well. you trim the grey of the wing stickers? I like it this way. just have to remove some paint first is all, which is easy enough!

All you need to do to make it just right now is to paint his face silver :)

Actually the red stickers wing stickers are on a seperate sheet so no trim is needed. Using the rubbing alchol to take the paint off is really easy too. Minimal risk if any at all of damaging the toy at all. Just take a few screws out to disassemble SS, and its quite easy from there.

    Nice!

I have been snatchin up repro stickers for my ALTERNATORS and was wondering about this set. It looks really good. One question: Did you use the cover up stickers they supplied,or did you go the paint removal method? I Will prolly use the COVER UP stickers,SO I DONT MESS ANYTHING UP! GOOD STUFF! [IMG]

I like it except for the bits beside his head (don't know the technical term for those parts)

    Those Alts look great!

I did not use the cover up stickers as I found the 91% Alcohol (70% alcohol works well too, just slower) method to be really easy. I just removed the two screws on the bottom of the wings and put them in a bowl of the alcohol-you don't need to leave the parts in overnight because the alcohol removes the paint apps almost instantly. Take a toothbrush to the stubborn areas in the panel lining. There are two screws that hold the canopy/nose gone to the body. Remove those and from there you can disassemble the canopy section by removing the two screws on the sides of the nose assembly. That way, the yellow canopy section is not messed up so you can remove the blue around that area. As for the rudders and the blue stripe on the back, I just emersed those areas in the alcohol by holding those spots in the bowl of alcohol for a few sections and then knocking the paint off with the tooth brush. When doing this, be careful not to get areas wet where paint apps need to remain. Keep a small towel or rag handy to dry the area off so the alcohol does not drip to painted areas that should remain.

91% or 70% bottles of alcohol can be bought at Walmart for around 1.90.

    Good luck!
