Well everyone, presenting Slag. The base figure is primarily a WFC Soundwave with parts added on from a junker G1 Slag, Beast Machines Triceradon, Energon Landmine, bits from a Star Wars x-over snowspeeder, and a sword from a lego knight. It was basecoated black with Krylon Fusion then handpainted with Games Workshop Citadel paints including: Chainmail Silver, Codex Grey, Blood Red, and a dash of Enchanted Blue. Overall, I'm pleased with the finished product both with the physical modifications done and with the paint. Comments and positive criticisms welcome.
I'm liking this a lot!!!!!! I love that you went with a different approach on him.Are you making the others? If so I look forward to seeing them!!!!!!!!
that is friggin sweet very brilliant idea to use WFC Soundwave. i never would have thought of that . turned out beautiful though.
Awesome custom! I don't think anyone would've thought to use that mold, but it works really well! Are you going to make the rest of the Dinobots?
this is like zoolander: really, really, really, really, ridiculously good-looking. quite possibly the most inventive repro of slag i've ever seen. my fav to date. great job, sir.
Nice job. I like how you changed up the head crest since there is no such thing as a triceratops anymore.
I thought it was Tororosaurus that had been reclassified? But regardless of that, Slag is frickin awesome! Absolutely ingenious. Can't wait to see what else you've got in the works.
Only because they're extinct. It's Torosaurus that's been wiped from the history books. And that is so cool.
wow that looks great! and the paint looks so good! just as a dino should nice and ready for battle! make the other dinobots in this style and it will be amazing!
Another awesome job! Gratz! I have the original g1 slag i am not brave enough (or skillful enough) to attempt a remodel! : )
