I'll have to see it in color. It doesn't look bad, but at the same time it's not enough for me to skip Straxus (who the mold was designed for, and only in rare cases have I found molds designed for one character working super-well for a totally different character)

I'll probably get one of the two. I'll probably wait to see color pictures of Skullgrin, unless I happen to spot Darkmount before then and it looks even better than online reviews have made it seem.

I thought this was pretty neat, but I can't take the credit as I read it on the TFWiki's Straxus page.

Dissapointing, it looks very similar to Straxus. Are all the new head molds going to be this weak? I'm not going to jump to " ZOMG TRANSFORMERS IS RUINED!!! ", but they could do WAY better.

I'm eagerly awaiting the release of Darkmount, and even more so am I looking forward to public photos of Skullgrin. I barely remember what I saw at Botcon, but I remember I loved it just as much as Darkmount. :D

EDIT: My impressions of the head from Botcon were that it looks like a ram skull. Which I thought was awesome.

The weapons didn't even occur to me, nor the possibility of new one(s) with Skullgrin instead of the pickaxe. Perhaps I'll hold off on any decision until we get something more from Hasbro on Skullgrin, or a factory leak. Neither character means much to me and the transformation/alt mode don't scream must-have anyway.

His colors are more in line with his Pretender shell than the interior robot (i.e, more bone white).

Couldn't recognize the head remold they showed for him at Botcon. Could be a new character or a movie-ized version of a G1 character that I wouldn't recognize from the head (i.e., ROTF Swerve).

yeah, usually robit heads are compact to conceal em so its a bit hard to do horns in scale to the original toy.

lazy, hasbro! just lazy! tsk tsk. /sarcasm

I love that they're bringing back Skullgrin - those Decepticon pretenders were awesome, it's about time they get some love.

Now how about re-tooling Gen. Seaspray into Submurauder and Gen. Thunderwing into Bomb-Burst?

^Dude, Skullgrin aka Dauros was a pretender and that pic is showing his ex0-suit. His robot mode is more humanoid...:p

    Stranglehold.

    Skullgrings head looks interesting.
I'll check my set of instructions and Straxus when I get home.

I see horns - it's tough because it's just B&W line drawings, but they're there.

OK at this point I think whomever is the over seer of instructions is maybe possibly throwing these flubs in intentionally. :lol  Just happening way to often for someone to just have a good eye.

But this does in fact pleases me....YES!!!!

    Tell that to ROTF Bludgeon...

Anyway, it'd be nice if the Generations Skullgrin had some connection to his shell as well. His altmode was a tank, of sorts, so that's covered.
