Here is my most recent G1 articulation project: G1 Skullcruncher! He was a pretty extensive project that involved adding articulated legs, and new arms with articulated hands. I had to reverse the front and back legs on the gator to make things proportional, as well as add articulation to the neck. I also made a new tail weapon for him (the junker i bought didn't have one!) I decided to have him be the pre-headmaster process version of him. Topped it all off with a new paint from top to bottom to match his original toy colors. This guy will be on e-bay starting Thursday (10 day auction,) and will include a bonus item, which the last pic hints at! Enjoy!

sweeeet. Nice job man, to bad you couldn't retain the headmaster part, but that's life I guess. Nice work on him though, and great use of the Alt swindle/rollbar head, matches up with the figure nicely.

I had to reference the original to get a full perspective of your mods and your articulation & paintjob bring Skullcruncher to a whole new level :) . Absolutely kick-ass job Mate! :thumb

Excellent job dude. It's slightly disappointing that the head doesn't transform tho. That aside this is great. I like your merging of his rifle with his tail. Clever. I never did care for his tail/sword thing.

OMG! That is cool. I too have a Skullcrucher as well. My gripe about this is that the raise area where the lower half of the gator becomes Skullcrucher's legs and feet, but I've realize it has to due to the adding the articulation. And thats it everything else is bad..f'n ..ass.

I was going to make my own articulated Skullcruncher. I remember buying a G1 junker, an oversized Classics KO Grimlock, and an Alt Rollbar head for this project. Funny how similar your approach was to mine. Any plans on creating Weirdwolf and Mindwipe?

He actually will have the Headmaster, I just prefer the proportions of the smaller head better, and wanted the headmaster to be a nice "surprise" before the auction went live.

*giggle* Quite literally the only reason i went with the white feet was because of the original figure's color scheme.

Weirdwolf is well under way and may be my next TF project that I show. He will have a similar approach to the head: 1 pre-headmaster, and 1 headmaster. As a kid I really liked the figures for the Headmaster line, but thought that the GIANT FREAKING HEADS looked ridiculous. This is my way of fixing that without having to make the figures themselves larger.
    Thanks for looking guys!

That's really awesome man. I love your work with the G1 articulation sets. I've always wondered, do you paint by brush or with an airbrush? Paint apps look good.
