Nice work, brah. If you took off the spoiler that would make an awesome Classics Overdrive.

Great vision seeing Sideswipe in the Rodimus mold. It REALLY works! Welcome to the world of kitbashing!

Onesock, you did a great job, dude.

Just FYI if you do any future kitbashes - you can selectively take off paint apps by pouring some 70% (or 90%) isoprophyl alcohol (equivalent to nail polish remover) onto a moist cloth and rubbing the painted areas down. Keep rubbing for a while with the cloth and you'll see the paint app start to disappear. It's great for parts like that Rodimus hood, where the engine (molded in red) needs to stay painted but you want to remove the flames.

    Again, great job, dude!

    the bad
1st you should not of sand off the flames let to rought of a finished,
2nd half of the side pipes are missing take the rest off
3rd, paint the spoiler red, done leave it orange

    Good
the head work is the only good point about this kickbash. same the head and try again

The alt mode is kind of iffy, but the bot mode and head look good. And yeah, try the alcohol and cotton swab method the next time you want to remove some paint, it works really well.

It's damn good, especially for a first try. :D  Really comes into his own in 'bot mode, especially with the missile launcher. Don't let the negative comment discourage you!

Nice work Onesock. I think you did a great job, especially considering it was your first attempt.

That looks great. I had never really noticed before how similar this mold is to Sideswipe, but it really works well! The only thing I could think that would maybe improve it (and this would be a real pain to do) would be to saw off the upper corners of the hood, where the headlights are, and permanently attach them to the chest piece. That would give Sideswipe his characteristic broad chest. But who knows, that might totally mess up the transformation, too.

Anyway, great work! Makes me wish Hasbro would do a Ramjet-level retool of this figure and release the Lambo Bros.

    It's actually a bright red. Yay color-blindness!

Anyways, thanks for the comments guys! I want to do another kitbash, but I'm not sure what yet...

Hey, for your observatory skills, I give you -19.

The bad: You failed to see it said it was his FIRST KITBASH! Geez man, I'd like to see you do better.

    P.S. onesock:

Awsome job! I always liked Sideswipe a little, and this is true homage.

    Whoa! HARSH!

Sometimes being plain-spoken about an opinion is the equivalent of just being rude. If you can't say something nicely, maybe it's best to leave it alone.

I for one was skeptical about this kitbash, but now that it's done, NICE! It really says Sideswipe to me! Good idea putting the launcher on the shoulder. I'm trying to think of a figure that might make a good Sunstreaker to go with him... :)

There are some rough edges here and there... I'm wondering if there's a way to smooth the surfaces on the head? I know it's hard to sand plastic down to a decent finish.

Have you considered cutting down the spoiler so it becomes a bit smaller... more like the Countach spoiler that G1 Sideswipe had? Just a thought.

    *edit*
Just noticed that you DID cut it down a bit. Whoops. Maybe it could be smaller even? :)

If you find a fig that would make a good Sunstreaker, PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO TELL ME. Sideswipe needs his brother!

Yeah, the rough edges bothered me a bit too, but I got over it.

And as far as the spoiler, any way I shape it, it'll always look too big. :lol
