I picked up Cyberverse Prime Ironhide just to be Ironhide with my RtS Legends, but he didn't fit with them as well as I hoped. I almost started to regret the purchase when I realized that with his shoulder design he might make a really good Swerve, alla the MtMtE comic book.

I was actually surprised how very nice the match turned out. One of the big tricks was ignoring Ironhide's super-tiny eyes and painting Swerve's optics on the helmet. This may be my favorite of any custom repaint I've done. (I would LOVE IT if Hasbro or Takara would do this officially.)

The Vehicle mode still needs a little paint here and there so only robot mode pics right now, but thats the mode he's gonna mostly stay in and I was too eager to share to wait...

    And with some friends:

"Skids and Swerve has a great ring to it!"

"Quest-toast! It's time to toast the Quest!"

    "Roomie!"

No funny title here, but here he is with my other 2 most recent customs Chugur Alpha Trion and Fixit. Either I'm gettin better at this or getting better at picking easy projects. ;)

-ZacWilliam, really is thrilled with how well this works, totally made the purchase worth it. :)

Great, I thought this might work earlier today and man, it looks the part, I'm going to have to try this myself, the red a white certainly pops better than the black and red did.

That DOES work! I'd be curious to see the vehicle mode just to see how the colour layout works that way, but as a Swerve this is a surprising winner! He's still a bit small for my tastes, but he sizes up well in the images you've got there, and his exaggerated proportions really match the MTMTE vibe! Based on this, I have a feeling we might be seeing more Swerves in the near future, from the Cyberverse and even the Deluxe versions of Prime Ironhide (who I'm betting will be too small to cut it as a "classics" Ironhide).

Also, Alpha Trion is so incredibly obvious from DOTM Sentinel! I'm ashamed to say that it never even occurred to be me before now! Wow!

Oo....very nice work! The visor reads perfectly in those pictures, though I can't say for sure how it would read in person. Now....do I want to try a similar treatment on the Cyberverse or the upcoming deluxe?

I'll be honest with you I think he reads better all around in person than in these pics.

The lines in the helmet worked better than I could imagine to make his visor.

I have to look at him every once in a while, as if to convince myself it really worked that well.

-ZacWilliam, I was as surprised as anyone...

This is making me want to buy two Cyberverse Ironhides!

    Great Idea!

The Prime Ironhide design fits in with G1 Autobots, so I can't wait for the Deluxe class!

Tell me which is better, Commander class Swerve or Deluxe class Swerve?
