    Ebay:
FINALLY! My own custom Shockwave. I've been want to make him for a long time. I actually cannot take credit for the kit bashing part. I bought this guy on Ebay with the arms already modified and with the tube attached. What I did do was changed the shoulders so that they matched and cut a little piece of the left arm to fit. I also sanded some rough parts. I then took the figure apart and sprayed the figure in Krylon flat black, drybrushed silver, aluminum, and then LOTS of purple. I also found another way of transforming Shockwave into more of a canon and used a piece of the original Shockblast to attach in canon mode. Here he is, my very own Shockwave...version 1.

    Alt mode pics coming soon....

It is Testors grape pearl. It's the same purple I used on my Cylconus and Evilyn figures. I think what makes it look metallic is drybrushing it over the silver/aluminum.

ah you are who beat me for that auction. I was wondering if it was a fellow poster here.

Anyway, nice job! I think Hasbro releasing this sculpt as a Generation 1 Shockwave is a no brainer. Would be nice if they got around to it already.

I used another Shockblast for the left shoulder so that they would match.

no screw holes on the back? awesome. I guess that's what happens when I don't play with my toys :lol  Would help if he had a torso clip and a decent sized arm cannon like your custom, I s'pose. Eventually I'll make a "classics" one, but I am going a wholly new route when that finally happens.

Silly boy. PLAY WITH YOUR TRANSFORMERS!!! The left screw hole is covered by the sticker that the figure came with.

Oh yeah, DavAnthony, I emailed Hasbro a while back and asked if they would ever re-release this mold as Shockwave and they replied no. After that, I have been looking for Shockblasts and Six Shots on ebay.

I wouldn't expect them to anyway. If we were to get a Classics one, I'm pretty confident he'd get his own new mold.

    now where's those alt-mode shots? :D

How can I take alt mode pics if I keep replying to my awesome custom?:bay

I have to take some other pics. When I do, I will post them. I will post some outtakes though. Enjoy! No TF or kitties were hurt during photo session.

That is the most beautiful purple i've seen in a while. Great choice in colors. I would like to see a firepower upgrade, but sweet work.

sweet group shot. curious, what's the story with the Starscream? I mean, since we have not one but 2 "classics" starscreams that are painted G1 style.

No story. Just a voyager cybertron Starscream. The other would be his earth mode. The voyager seems to fit these guys better. I'm thinking of revisiting voyager Starscream.
