Hey all. Seeing that I finally got some primer and color on this guy, I thought I would start a wip thread for people who are interested in the custom that I'm working on to follow. I've only got the purple on the wings so far, but, the sivler and pink are going to follow here soon, and then I can start on the body parts, lol. Well, sorry for the quality of the photos, i didn't have a little studio type thing set up. Oh, and the purple is actually darker in person, and this was before I did some touchups on it. Well, thanks for looking, C&C are welcome.

Looks good, but I think the purple would look better if it was a bit darker (maybe it is, but what I see looks a little light)

Yeah, it's darker than that, lol. I'm going to be setting up a little photo area in my room to take photos in the future. These were shot down in the basement right next to where I've been painting, and the lighting that happened to be directly overhead was just a tad bright, lol.

I hate to dissapoint you, and possibly others for that matter, but, I'm not. I did some digibashes of something that I could do, but, nothing would look right in my opinion. Thanks for the comments guys. If I can pick up the right resources, I might scratchbuild my own MP Shockwave in the future.

See, I don't see what people see in this mold as Shockwave.

Maybe if he had the extended barrel, but that's about the only thing.

I think you should have left the green in the wings, it would have had that Energon shockwave feel to it. But it still looks good, cant wait to see finished product.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm currently prepping him for the next color. Either pink or silver. I'm hoping that I can get my sprayer to work again, so that I can do the pink now, since that will be easier to tape off for the sivler. I'll post pictures once I get the new color onto him.

Little update. I've decided to do the silver first for two reasons. The pink will take less coats to cover when over the sivler, and my pink that I had mixed up needs to be replaced. I was going to brush it on, but realized that I was using the pink that I tried to get a clear pink on him earlier, but failed at doing so. I'm going to Walmart tonight anyways, so I'l be able to pick up some white (already have enough red). Anywho, I prepped him up for silver, and sprayed on the first coat, which turned out nicely in my opinion. Sorry for the bad photos. I need to seriously clean out my room before I can get a little booth set up to take some nice photos.

BTW, the reason that I have almost two of pretty much the same shot, is that I'm comparing two different settings on my camera to see which one works better for taking pictures down in my work area.

It shouldn't. I let the purple cure for over 24 hours, so it should be good. That and I had to movie a couple of peices, and they came off withought any problems. I'm going to let the silver dry for a full hour before I go down there and put another coat on, and knowing how sivler covers, will probably be the last coat that I need to put on it, lol.

Another little update (should be the last one for today). I sprayed on what should be the last coat of sivler. I'm going to wait till tommorow to take off the tape, so that I can take up what I want to stay silver, and then spray on the pink. Then, when the pink is completely on and dry, I'll put a nice coat of clear coat on the whole thing. Then I can start on the body parts.

If anybody is curious, I've included a picture of the can of purple that I'm using.
