Classics Saur, the base mold is a knockoff cybertron legends Scourge.

As I mentioned in the Steeljaw repaint thread, I wasn't quite a fan of the legends until I saw the potential of homages to some minor / smaller characters. The problem with Scourge was what to do with a toy so tiny whose alt form is a dragon, which is supposed to be big and impressive (as the original Scourge mold). This was specially ridiculous with the Trypticon repaint that was officially released...
Then, I saw the hope for these fellows: the cassettes. I like the idea of the cassette pets having a robot mode , so here is one of the most rare characters from the cassette ranks: Saur (or Zaur as was originally spelt)

thank you, I'm glad you liked it. I was happy with how the colors turned out, and you are right, for a knockoff the details stand out quite well.

I bought them in Spain, but they are not too easy to find... I don't have the card where they came packed anymore, and could not find any image in the internet, sorry. These came in 2, or 3 packs. There was:

    - optimus with hotshot
    - optimus with oversized firebot
    - scourge with smaller brimstone
    - scourge with smaller brimstone and leobreaker

The back of the card showed the instructions for all of them, including some molds I couldn't find in the stores.

But keep in mind that the quality is really bad: the plastic colors are usually bright lime, red, blue, or green, and they have very few paint applications, if any at all. I actually bought them with the only purpose to practise doing repaints before painting a real transformer, but I already got pieces of 2 of them broken just while they were being re-assembled.

Thank you, I am glad you liked it :)

These KOs are very cheap, but you get what you pay: the plastic is so bad some of the parts break just in the re-assembling process, or when trying to rotate their articulations.
However, if you have some spare paint and time, give it a try! It's fun to do and you get your own never to be released toys.
