This guy deserves his own figure and he was a G1 character, plus the autobots would have been lost.
It would be cool. He could be a basic sized Transformer, and actually transform this time around. They could even just do a good blue repaint of Cybertron Clocker for all I care. The only flaw in this would that there would be fans that would get mad that he transforms instead of beeing the little drone cart thingy. The only other problem would be that he wouldn't have a trailer to travel around in with Prime. Nice idea though. Peace out.
Plus, if they ever made him, especially as a Transformer, that we can finally have pictures of Roller sending Prime into the trailer...
The hilarity of that alone would be well worth it.
No. No, he really doesn't.
He was just some silly little cart thing that Prime had in the back of his trailer and almost never used.
Only after every other 1984-1996 figure, Japanese and American, has been given the classics treatment.
I'd rather have a voyager-sized trailer for Prime released, that has the combat deck and Roller included.
they could always reuse one of the minicon molds.
how could anyone not like that face:
I never knew that Roller had a face?
Should've just released him with Classics Prime to help fill out the package (BB got a little buddy of sorts, why not Prime?). On his own, I don't think Hasbro would risk it.
What?!?! Not until Cosmos has his fig.! And...not even then! Roller is a vanishing freak (well, him and the trailer, really). He'd be an "Actionmaster" anyway (his total lack of transformation is what I mean).
Now, if they were to rename a Minicon "Roller" and have him look vaguely like G1 Roller as an homage, I'd be behind that. Otherwise, no dice.
i sketched up a rough design of Roller as a mini-con during SDCC
ill see if i can scan it up xD
roller rules!! give us a classic roller!
I'd say a voyager sized trailer for prime with a very small transforming roller.
roller should transform into optimus' headmaster!!!
not quite important enough to get his own figure to be sold by himself, but would abso-freakin-lutely complete the trailer.
*glares at takara for not including him with MP-4*
the little fella was quite a handy scout, but i dont think he should get a bot mode.
to me, that would be like giving teletran-1 a bot mode.
he's just a tool the autobots use, not an actual character.
but overall, yes, roller kicks ass. he also reminds me of R2-D2. they are both little, speak in beeps, and help the heroes save the day.
roller had his moments, plus i just want more classics what better way to fill up a autobotcentric line than with more of them.
I'd probably be quite content with a blue repaint of Corona Sparkplug...
Hey, Prime didn't really use his trailer in the cartoon, and everyone bitches when he is released without it.
