I'm pretty excited about Ramjet, can't say I'm digging cliffjumper's paint design, could have used a new head but I'm sure I'll pick him up anyways.
They look great, but why the hell is there a laser pointer beam on both figures? Did the guy think that would be a sufficient watermark?
I might get Ramjet, but probably not Cliffjumper. The Bumblebee mold is amazing, but I get nothing from a new paint scheme.
I'll be picking up both. I just love that Ramjet design. Can't wait.
I look forward to not seeing them on my store shelves.
Mmmm Ramjet...COME to me!
Eh, they'll be out for a few good months before even the movie preview toys hit, I'm sure we'll see at least a moderate amount of them both.
I'd say I can't wait for these two, but my wallet tells me differently.
They look nice.
The cone head design looks as bad now, as it did 20 years ago. I want to put number boards on CJ's doors, and maybe paint his rims red to make him look like a rally car.
Picking up both. I'm eagerly awaiting Cliffjumper because I've been preparing a more "appropriate" bot head for him.
MORE! MUST HAVE MORE!
Definitely picking up both. I hope Classics will bring us more minibots and Seekers.
I think RW said it best.
I confess, I love Ramjet's design. He's a remold, but one hell of a remold. They took an existing mold and made it into a very distictly different character - unlike the Alt. Meister to Alt Shockwave remold... both of which are fantastic, no denying that... but it's essentially a new head on a very slightly remolded car... Now, don't go getting me wrong. Shockwave/Meister was my very very first remold purchase(s), and I'm very glad I did... but there's really not a whole lot different there.
This, however... wow. I'm deja vu-ing to the Alt. Subaru to Alt. RX-8 differences. I feel like it's different enough that, if I was refusing to buy repaints, I'd still pick this guy up. Of course... I love this line. Everything in Wave 1, I feel, is worth buying twice. So Ramjet is a definite buy for me.
Cliffjumper. Well, like I said... everything in wave 1 is worth buying twice for me... I would have liked a new head... but, well... repaints keep the line alive, I guess. I think the mold works better for our hot-headed red-buggy, but we DID need a Bumblebee first. I like him in red, and the paint is rather nice. He won't have the same "WOW!" effect on me as Bumblebee did, but I'll like him, I'm sure. Again, another pickup.
I only wish I liked the Optimus Prime/Megatron 2-pack as much as I like these guys... I feel like I"m going to pick that up only to show support for the Classics line. Those two will probably be my very first MIB toys.
But Cliffjumper and Ramjet... the focus of this thread... they get two thumbs up and a HELL YEAH.
Especially Ramjet, he is nigh on perfect. Plus I love his collision-based-shenanigins in the orginal cartoon.
And I simply must have Cliffjumper, sure he lacks the wow Bumblebee had, but someone has to point out who the tratiors in my autobot ranks. And the Bee/Jumper Classics mold is pure joy imho.
Ramjet is an easy buy for me, almost as easy as Astrotrain was.
I'm happy to continue buying Classics, hopefully, it'll help keep the line going!
(Ramjet better have really strong paint on his nosecone)
<--- Is hoping for a Dirge remold!
Count me as excited, even though i'll never actually see them at retail.
I'll absolutely pick up both, assuming my financial situation gets better...
I used to have G1 Ramjet and I really miss having a figure for that character, so he is priority to me out of the two. Cliffjumper is neat, though it really bothers me that he has Bumblebee's head, and not his own head. He makes me think more of the 1984 red Bumblebbe variant than Cliffjumper. Still, he's not that bad.
Haha, that red Bumblebee variant was my Cliffjumper for years and years, so this is pure irony. Absolutely love the look on both of these guys, Ramjet more of course since I've got strong memories of my original one of him too, but both are getting spaces on my Classics shelves.
(I'll gladly take as many different Seekers as we're offered, I won't even complain if Dirge is merely repainted from Ramjet if it means we get him)
