Here is a link to my Classics style Purple Seeker Dye job. He's not finished, but will be in the next few days. It's my first dye job (other then my stint with pink hair in college) and I'm excited about how he came out.

Any suggestions on what details in what color I should add?

I like the idea and want to do one myself. I probably would have stripped all the paint off first before dying. Then add other colors in later. That's only because I don't care for the design they use on SS.

    Just my 2 cents.

    Looks good otherwise.

My biggest call to fame was starting this whole trend of dying transformers. I did it back during Armada when we saw the Scourge figure Takara was making, but before Nemesis Prime was announced. I wanted to make my own Scourge but didn't want to paint because of the scratching at the joints when transforming. The idea hit me when I was coloring easter eggs with my daughter.

Sadly though, most people have forgotten ( or never knew ) that I started this trend and I've lost my fame. :(

Looks pretty good, but like Boggs I would've stripped the paint first. The red dyed to purple is kind of an odd shade.

LIES, ALL LIES! i did it first back in 1977 the day i was born, i dyed some cloths in red (blood color) :D

now seriously, i tried once and it didnt work (had some locs, acetone and liquid ink) maybe it was the ink, or the time the loc was left in the water (didnt want it to deform) :(
