Real minor mod here. While not completely perfected, it is getting there.

Just a G2 Prime Trailer with new G1 Reprolabels.

Spike, Sparkplug, & a number of vintage Diaclone friends make a small cameo in the pics.

I had no idea the scales were so close. I like it :)  How does the trailer attach?

Real minor mod. You basically just round off the square peg on classics Prime and plug into the trailer just like a G1 Prime. Pretty painless really.

Looks good... were you planning on jacking up the rear wheels on the trailer? That would level off the angle.

No, but that's a great idea. I think I'll try it. Thanks. :thumb

One really important thing I don't see many classics-Optimus-trailer kitbashers is RECASTING THE WHEELS from Optimus Prime to make it the same on the trailer. Once you do that. Your custom is perfect!

Nice. I may have to hunt down an extra trailer for this one.

Or alternatively (and possibly easier, seeing as how many folks don't have casting resources on hand), finding some rubber-tire wheels from other toy cars that match the trailer's wheels, and replacing Classics Prime's wheels with them. :)

Yeah, you'll need 10 of those. But I'm still for the recasting wheels. Much less destructive to prime.

Well, yeah... but it's not like kitbashers don't "damage" their figures every time they start a project... and nicer, rubbery wheels might be considered an improvement for Classics Prime.

Also, I don't think you'd need 10 wheels necessarily. Classics Prime only has 2 rear wheels on each leg, and they're recessed, so you wouldn't see them if they were doubled up anyway. I think 6 wheels would get the job done easily...

Unless you mean you'd need ones for the trailer too... but I don't think the trailer wheels have to match the truck wheels exactly... they just ahve to look sort of the same style. :)

OR... as an alternative to the casting process, one could just buy a second-hand Classics Prime for a low price, and take it's wheels off for use on the trailer. It might cost less than casting materials. :)

I'm actually using the same trailer for my custom Motormaster. With slight mods it really works good.
