I saw this pic on my iPhone while listening to the podcast a couple weeks ago. I couldn't help but notice how much it looked like Classics Prime. Do you think the designers used this for the design, only making it look more "earth"?

Like the rest of the classics vehicles, it only vaguely resembles a real vehicle. Chances are, they drew inspiration from the original Prime's cab-over design and a more modern design, such as this.

For all I know, there might actually be a cab that more closely resembles the toy.

I think some of the inspiration may come from the 1988 Peterbilt Model 372

I disagree. It doesn't have the little "mound" on the sides that contain the lights, and the windshield isn't even close to the same shape.

Just some? It seemed pretty obvious that they were going for a generic version of a snub nose with a sleeper/streamline.

Nope. If anything, I'd say that thing was just based on a Cab Over semi truck.

This would explain why it looks like a somewhat truck, so I'd say that the "Space Truckers" thing was inspired by earth Cab Over Trucks. And had nothing to do with the inspiration of Classics Prime aside from the fact that they're both loosely based on Earth Cab Over Semi Trucks

The windshield on that "Space Truckers" thing isn't even close either.
