Yes indeedy. It could be done with any of the armor I just chose SC due to it already had a face plate and that was one less thing for me to worry about. 

I know, I see the reason behind Power Commander but it's one that I wouldn't be heartbroken if I never got. And if I did I would only do this to it hahahaha.

Gundamish you say!!! Poppycock nonsense good sir.  (I say this while nudging my box of gundam parts out of view.) I am going to be looking elsewhere for my armaments with my next up coming projects. I was going to use the G1 gun but the are too outdated to fit with this.

Check the first post, the Original G1 Powermaster armor has red hands.

They would have made a killing had they made this. Even with the Ultra Magnus shoulder stacks still on it and painted a gray color. I really like to see other people rendition on this actually.

 

But you guys wanna know what the real kicker is?

Really? I guess I hadn't noticed. Why did the designers for the toy do that when he was otherwise painted so similarly to the original Prime?

Yeap as Redline stated that I already stated  lol) it came from this KO Oversized Robot Masters Convoy/ Optimus Prime.



As you can see it fairly big compared to classics prime. But the chest piece was clipped off this KO and I luckily nipped it off just right to where it just clips onto the Shadow Command Armor's chest. Good luck finding one of the puppies I haven't been able to since. And that was about 4 months ago maybe longer. If anyone finds where they sell these PM me pronto.  

 

Great stuff, looks awesome. The head and chest work really well - prefer this to the look of plain ol' City Commander, tbh! Looking forward to seeing the Apex armour version...

could you tell us how much is involved in removing the should towers? how much cutting? and how it effects the alt mode?

 

I might be. Depends on many factors thou. How soon my new set is up and running and if I can find suitable chest plates again.

I just used a regular dremel and the basic cutting bit. I would recommend using the thinner ones.

As for it effecting alt mode, it doesn't really just makes a empty space where they once were. But you can't go any lower than were the stack meets the shoulder. So cut a bit above that and the sand the rest of the excess plastic down.

 

That is awesome! I have been waiting for some one to do this with the one of the "City/Shadow Commander" sets.

I'm think some certain kitbashers that is casting could start offering this with a few changes like setting the handle back like I did and casting it in black. I'm sure a lot of collectors would appreciate this.
