Heres some new renders I did today. I realized I hadn't tried the "clay" render on my models for awhile. So I gave it a spin, and thought they came out nicely. Especially since they show the details off better than when in color. :D

Two great molds that look great together. Kinda like Hockey masks and Jason Vorhees.

Truly beautiful models, mate...you know you've done some damned good work when they look this good with or without colour. :thumb

Loving the lighting and camera set-ups, too, especially on that first Magnus shot. It may be an over-used expression, but that really is awesome. :rock

Very nice Venksta. These look Awesome. And yes you can see more details in gray. The lighting is right on point. Care to share what settings you used?

The other trailer is the BTS.Toy Mobile Command Base trailer. Was part of the commission I did when I designed their box. :)

    Thanks dude! :)

Thanks man. I wonder how long before someone claims these are prototypes of new toys. :lol

Thanks! Check out my DA page (link in sig) to view the colored version, and the City Commander animation. :)

How about a tutorial to show the steps instead for this type of render? :D

Hey Venksta, those are great looking models. I'm curious as to what the polygon count comes to on those models. Also, do you have wireframe renders?

    Thanks dude! :)

I learned it in College as well. I love the modeling tools. I think its perfect for modeling TFs. :D

The Classics Prime model is about 244,000 polygons. The City Commander parts are just about 100,000 polygons. I've attached some wireframe renders below.

I'm planning to write one up for the Tutorial section here in Radicons, along with some other 3d tutorials soon. I'll be taking a shot at a basic lighting tutorial and this clay render tutorial this week. Since I work in XSI like you, it should be easy to follow. :)

Lol. Well, the BTS.Toy trailer isn't that well known due to FansProject's upcoming G3 trailer. But its still a great trailer to have. :D
