Update: I added pictures of my new improved Superlink and ROTF color matched heads. Those who ordered the ROTF color matched heads will get the versions shown here. Enjoy and thanks for the comments and orders everyone! If you're interested in buying a set, please take a look at my commission thread here: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/commissioner-listing-feedback/324477-custom-onslaught-brawl-vortex-heads-complete-your-fp-bruticus-upgrade.html As everyone I was ecstatic to upgrade my Combaticons (Superlink version for me) with Fansproject's Crossfire2 set. It also increased my disappointment in the 3 remaining robots... Onslaught, Vortex, and Brawl looked nothing like their G1 counterparts. Well, after one knock-off Mega-Octane, one oversized Brawl and a tutorial on casting posted by Redline (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/tutorials-how-tos/214541-tips-molding-casting-your-own-parts.html), I present you Classics Onslaught, Vortex, and Brawl! Unfortunately the over-sized Bruticus used a second Blast Off head for Vortex so I had to modify a second cast of Brawl's to create Vortex's head. I didn't want to rework the molds completely and wanted to keep the painting to a minimum, so I just stuck to adding new heads. I'm fairly happy with how it turned out though. Feedback is appreciated! Onslaught: Fully transformable of course. Vortex: Fully transformable; the helicopter looks the same as before. I thought of introducing the dark green typically seen on Vortex, but after looking at some screencaps I remembered that his head on the cartoon was also grey and decided to go that route. Brawl: Fully Transformable just with the side turrets missing. Combaticons attack!
