Update: I added pictures of my new improved Superlink and ROTF color matched heads. Those who ordered the ROTF color matched heads will get the versions shown here. Enjoy and thanks for the comments and orders everyone! If you're interested in buying a set, please take a look at my commission thread here: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/commissioner-listing-feedback/324477-custom-onslaught-brawl-vortex-heads-complete-your-fp-bruticus-upgrade.html

As everyone I was ecstatic to upgrade my Combaticons (Superlink version for me) with Fansproject's Crossfire2 set. It also increased my disappointment in the 3 remaining robots... Onslaught, Vortex, and Brawl looked nothing like their G1 counterparts. Well, after one knock-off Mega-Octane, one oversized Brawl and a tutorial on casting posted by Redline
(http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/tutorials-how-tos/214541-tips-molding-casting-your-own-parts.html), I present you Classics Onslaught, Vortex, and Brawl! Unfortunately the over-sized Bruticus used a second Blast Off head for Vortex so I had to modify a second cast of Brawl's to create Vortex's head. I didn't want to rework the molds completely and wanted to keep the painting to a minimum, so I just stuck to adding new heads. I'm fairly happy with how it turned out though.

    Feedback is appreciated!

    Onslaught: Fully transformable of course.

Vortex: Fully transformable; the helicopter looks the same as before. I thought of introducing the dark green typically seen on Vortex, but after
looking at some screencaps I remembered that his head on the cartoon was also grey and decided to go that route.

Brawl: Fully Transformable just with the side turrets missing.

    Combaticons attack!

Vortex's head never bothered me too much, but Brawl and Onslaught are terrible, yours on the other hand Look Amazing brings new life to the molds specially Brawl

Those heads don't look like they fit at all on those bodies.

    Thanks for the comments guys.

@Da_Razorsaw: can you elaborate? Do you thinkj they're they too big, too G1 looking, or something else?

I just realized after looking at the larger pictures that my paintjob was pretty bad; I only had enamels and no thinner for the colors I needed so the paint came out clumpy... I think I'll cast new heads and paint those with acrylics.

@Megatron31: Let me cast another set and I'll post pictures with and without paint; it might take me a couple of days though.

Is anyone else interested? If enough people want them I'd be willing to buy more materials and price them.

i would be up for a set of unpainted for sure they look awesome and even though mine stays in combiner mode most of the time i would still like to have them, i had been considering using either the deluxe optimus head or a classics grimlock head for onslaught but this looks so much better

I'd be interested in Onslaught and Brawl heads for sure (and Vortex, if you only want to sell as a set).

I'd like to see Barricade/Onslaught in vehicle mode--the "side-bun-coil" things on his head always hid his face in vehicle mode pretty well if you turned it around---I'm curious how it looks now.

Would also like some more angles of Brawl in vehicle mode.

Those are all pretty sweet man. I'd be down for a set but I might just try to make my own. Not sure where to find a decent priced over-sized set though. I have the KO Onslaught already though
