Satomiblood, its not your fault that you kinda hold this off for this long, its cool. It could of been worst, but still the progress of Overdrive looks good, so keep it up.

Well, I'm going to be honest with you guys. As with all customizers, I hit a snag. The project hasn't been scrapped nor do I plan on going that route. I just wasn't happy with some of the paint apps. My dumbass painted where there would be moving parts. Essentially, the transformation is a little "gunked up". I wanted to give him a more thorough paint job, but with the base already being a variation of red, I can afford to cheat a little and leave some of those critical parts unpainted.

I decided to take a step back and use the spare Rodimus parts I had, which explains why it's even less complete than before. I used spray paints the first time out. And while they did a nice job coating everything, some parts (despite my masking them) got painted when they shouldn't have.

I'll be switching back to brush painting as well as acrylics. I do like enamels, but acrylics, in turn, like me a little better. So yea, the project is still going. However, I've taken a few steps back.

BTW, if anyone has a spare Classics Rodimus they'd like to sell/trade to me, or if you know anyone that has one, fire me a PM. Thanks for all the support thus far.

What are your thoughts on the head sculpt and the "visor" I gave him?

The visor is good, but needs more refining because it looks like it got gunked on, but all and all good.

Regarding the visor, I think it has more to do with the sculpt than the paint. I should've sculpted it better before it cured. I also think I used more than I should have. It looks good enough for this attempt. I do plan on making another one, an improvement over this. I also believe I used too much chrome paint. It conflicts with the red too much.

The head is a little odd-looking, and you should probably have removed the flames with alcohol, other than that, that thing looks cool.

The flames won't be an issue since they'll be painted over. What you see is just the first coat of paint, a very thin one.

Like I said, if anyone has a spare Classics Rodimus, shoot me a PM.

Got hooked up with another spare Rodimus. I'm going to be going back to a brush and acrylics.

All in all bro it's looking good. Remember once you start brushing: light, light apps dude! Best way to avoid gunking. Take your time. Good luck and really looking forward to seeing him finished.

I'm actually better at brushing than I am spraying. I just have better control with distributing the paint.
