I know that many of you are familiar with my original updated Omega Supreme concept, as Viagra Prime made it into a reality. Oddly enough, I'm actually going to go a COMPLETELY different direction. I didn't do this on purpose, mind you. I DID intend to indeed make my own copy of the same custom that I'd originally digibashed, and VP created. However, While tinkering around working out plans for ANOTHER custom entirely, this one literally came out of left field!

It was like an epiphany or something. I honestly have no better way to describe it, as I wasn't even thinking about this custom, or even this character when it hit me. It didn't take me very long to figure it all out, everything really just rushed out of me at that point. This was several months ago, and I'm finally back in action.

I'm working on this at the same time that I'm working on a commissioned repaint for someone, there's a lot of free time between drying sessions for me to do so. I must say, after nearly 6 months hiatus, it really feels GREAT doing customs again!

I'm going to lay out this custom from start-to finish in a nice documentary style, as the new site design was originally intended. You can get a sense of how all my threads' titles will play out, and be easy to follow along and keep track of  

I've already gotten a good deal done on this job, but I don't feel its anything truly substantial enough to show you images of just yet, as my efforts were scattered over various portions of the figure.

He is a bonafide update to the original Omega Supreme concept, in that he turns into an airbase, and also can transform into a tank and rocket, and of course, a robot. He is not a partsformer at all. In fact, the ONLY removable parts are his arms popping off, and the turret can be removed to be attached to the top of the gantry/launch tower.

I'm unfortunately at a temporary delay, as the darned Omega Supreme arms havn't arrived yet, even though they were supposedly shipped last Thursday. Until I recieve those, I can't work on the Gantry (won't know how tall to make it) or modify the forearms to recieve the new rocket-arms. For now, I leave you with my digibash (yes everything is to scale!) and also a photograph that I had my good friend TheDevastator take for me when I first had the idea, but no Omega Supreme, to find out if my idea was even plausible or not. I really am excited about this. However one critique, i think there's a bit too much yellow on the upper arms/shoulders!

 

Metroplex is the best mold for Omega Supreme.

 

Sweet man. Someone over at Tfans and another from Seibertron was working on Cyb Metroplex to OS as well. They didn’t have any pics to show for yet though. That digibash looks good. Cyb Metroplex’s original alt mode is crap but the figure lends itself well for a lot of good customs. I’ve seen a good number of pretty cool fan alt modes. So you’re going to use an original OS rocket for the custom?

I was basing all his aps off the original... the original has fully yellow shoulders (as does VP's custom based off my original bash!)

Yessiree! In fact, they came in this afternoon, and I've already gotten them to connect! I still have a ton of work on the inner fore-arms though, as they look like crap right now.   I'm a little bit bummed that my idea isn't as unique as I had thought it was, but maybe I can have the best and first one finished, perhaps.

I'll have a new update SOON, as I'm making excellent progress (much more than I'd anticipated, for sure!)

 

I see dragstrip besides the Aerialbots.... hmmmm didn't Devastator of transtopia do them?

And I think the arms are on backwards the claw goes on the right arm and laser on left.

 

That picture is one Devy took for me, its just a mock up, using tape. As for them being backwards, its all good, I don't have the actual modded arms photographed yet, plus the arms are interchangeable too.

Holy crap this is gonna be good. If its half as nice as the Stunticons we're all in for a treat. I wonder if the club will eventually repaint either of those figures as Omega.

Sometimes motif/remake figures really miss the mark but you did a damn fine job there Redline. If I didn't think your idea was awesome I probably wouldn't have taken the picture! Also, yeah, I did get the arms backwards. My memory just sucks.
