Hey Radicons! So here is a very simple and minor Nemesis Prime detailing job. I got the figure, which is a KO Nemesis Prime, which the plastic quality is really nice for a KO from KOTOYS.com. So after looking at it for a bit I knew it would be very easy to turn this guy into a better Nemesis Prime. Though I do enjoy my SDCC Nemesis Prime, it just needs a bit more detail. I plan to do another in the scheme of the yet to be determined released Wonderfest Black Convoy, though this detailing is very close to it already. Enjoy BEFORE: AFTER:
I was wondering about this one some more. Did you try to get the red sharpie on the inside of the chest or did you just do it on the outside? It might be smoother to do it on the inside, I suppose. But probably not that big of a deal.
yeah it would look smoother probably, i totally didnt think of that till after the fact. but i did just do it on the surface. i will probably do another with the red on the inside. i did the same for the light piping, that i did try and take off but the screw was stripped and being a pain to get out so i just colored the back piece of.
Nice work! I was going to pick up the same KO so I'm glad to hear that it's good quality. The paint job looks clean, though I would have liked to see some dry brushing to really push the metal look. Great job!
no idea on how to do dry brushing, i just like to do a few things here and there when I can. though i would like to know about this dry brushing.
I'm sure Jin won't mind but here is a great tutorial on adding the extra depth to painted metal. Metallic/Worn Armor Painting Guide I really do love the paint job you did though, he resembles the other figures in the line by having nice even and flat colors.
Got the same KO and also planed on a few more paint aps on him to make him look more nemesis like. Nicely done btw.
Dang boy, that is one nice Nemesis Prime! Just one thing, a little more detail in the arms would really make him pop a little more.
How did you paint the chest piece like that (red)? Just using a Sharpie? Does it leave streaks or does it bleed into the plastic? It looks awesome!! I think I'm ordering two!!
