Rub them and they will change color.

With the exception of Megatron (who has a tampographed -spelling?- faction symbol) all of the Classics figures (along with reissues like Soundwave & Ravage) have what are called "rub-signs". They're basically heat activated faction symbols that are a throw back to G1. You rub them and they will show you the faction of your figure.

I can't imagine the Soundwave reissue not coming with his normal stickers. I wouldnt' worry about him.

Thought that last auction of the Soundwave reissue showed a decep symbol sticker on the chest door. (might've been painted/stamped on, but it looked more like a sticker to me.)

personally, i would have preferred all reissues to have tampographed (stamped on) details instead of being stickers. or at least factory applied stickers.

early G1 sticker sheets are tricky buggers to apply and get them to stay on properly. but i think the toys look better and more complete with them.

    Thats an interesting new word..
Yeah, I woulda prefered that too, especially when the sticker your trying to apply doesn't quite seem to fit where they expected you to put it, or would be covering up some sculpted details.

Yes, the Classics are missing their insignias. I've been correcting this on mine, as I get them.

So far, I've been able to correct this oversight on Rodimus and Starscream using some unapplied stickers from my G1 re-issues. See:

Starscream got the nose cone stickers from Skywarp and Starscream. Rodimus got the big Autobot sticker from Smokescreen (Only I used the smaller sticker on Smokescreen's front bumper. Because, I didn't want to cover up his racing number like the instructions showed).

Wow! They do look cooler with stickers on! Especially Hot Rod! By the way Leemon, from the pictures it seems that your Hot Rod's sticker isn't "centre"- it appears slightly slanted?

I actually don't mind the rubsigns. A poorly applied sticker can be far worse than none at all ... and I'm 50/50 at getting stickers right.

    i kinda like the rubsigns.
most of my orignal toys when i was a kid had those.
i think it depends on the character.

although ordering some faction decals from reprolabels is a good idea, just to have them incase i change my mind or get bored.

wow, that was a mind bender....someone not knowing what a rub sign was. I suppose it'll happen more and more as new people get into Transformers. Course the same thing is happening with phones.....show a 10 year old a rotary phone and see how long it takes him to figure out how to use it :)
