Look for a thread about an unpainted Mirage test shot, and you will find your complaints. :)

I don't think all Classics are pure love, but so far IMO the WORST of classics merits at least a C+ on the grading curve of other lines.

Mirage is awesome. I've thought so, since the first pictures. Ramjet (and the Prime/Megs two pack) is the only Classics figure I've seen that I'm not overly fond of.

I hope that this line pay homage to the 80s TFs, all the way to the Pretenders & beyond. Heard that Takatom's involved in TFs Classics project as well right?? Well, if that's the case, PLEASE extend Classics to Jap series so that I can have Victory Saber, Roadcaesar & Liokaiser etc. Oh dear, think I'm drunk.. :drunk

Ok, so our Japanese TFs counterparts are INDEED involved in the making of Classics but somehow I feel that the Jap TFs will not get to see daylight. (Sigh!) :(

Whatever it is, I hope that Classics ain't calling it a day SOooo soon...

Takara are ALWAYS involved in the development of Transformers toys, even if they're only intended to be released in the USA. The only exceptions I know are the European pre-G2/G2 "Power Masters", Energon Mega Dinobot and MAYBE Alpha-Quintesson and Kicker/High Wire. Oh, and the Titaniums, apparently, which are done by Galoob. I believe the SWTFs are done with Takara's involvement.

Too bad the same can't be said about Hasbro's (non-)involvement with Japan-only TFs, or THS-02 G1 Convoy and the Robot Masters might have turned out better.

Strangely enough, in nearly every example, it shows.

I'm still on the fence about this guy. I'm going to wait to see some better pics of him with paint on him to make a finall decision. I personally like the design, I'm just not sure that I want to get him or not. Peace out.

*Adds yet another classic to must buy list*

The classics line couldn't come soon enough for me (way too soon for my wallet, though).

Much as I like Gen 1 Sky/Jetfire, I still feel that this is far more EXCITING than a STRAIGHT REPAINT off Bandai's Macross toyline. This will be the PERFECT mold for Jetfire back in the 80s instead of Macross VF-1S but apparently this design came late for almost 20 years. Still, it's better LATE than NEVER in this issue, isn't it?

Feel like giving him a miss?? You might want to think again because someone mentioned before that Classics Jetfire is rather shortpacked in the assortment so my guess is if you MISS him now, you may have to pay a higher price for him later should you want to get him then.

I'm definetly getting Classics Jetfire. When I said that i was still on the fence about this guy, I was talking about Mirage. I like the design of it in car mode, but I'd like to get a better look at him in bot mode with the colors on him. I don't honestly see why Jetfire would be shortpacked in the assortment, unless the reason he's going to be shipped with Prime and Megs is to release a limmited amount of him first and then release him with the rest of his wave as normal. Jetfire will be mine, oh yes he will be mine. Peace out.

I can't seemed to remember the exact assortment # but YES, Jetfire's packed one/carton. I'm pretty sure that I read about this somewhere on a thread in TFW2005 but I just can't remember which one. :(

I vividly remembered seeing this being mentioned somewhere before so unless I'm wrong, I MIGHT have taken "hearsay" for facts. :redface2:

Anybody know if Takara had a hand in Energon Slugslinger and Energon Sharkticon? They look strangely un-Takara-ish to me.
