this guy was done quite awhile ago,when armada unicron was released(orange first version)his scale works pretty good with legends class figs or minicons but not too well with deluxes.the best is pairing him with wstf's.he stand just 2 inches taller than armada unicron now.a breakdown of what he's made from =
main structure/body=armada unicron.
head=armada tidalwave with extra bits added including visor.
main chest=some kind of big gundam thing that was almost 2 feet long and light green?
legs=salvaged from a junker g1 metroplex.
big twin cannons on forearms=same gundam thing mentioned above.
big red twin cannon=some kind of wannabe gijoe sized boat from walmart.
big black gun=energon scorponok parts,main chest cannon from inside unicron and alot of odds and ends.
main tower in city mode=same above mentioned gundam thingy.
smaller towers=odds and ends including "drywall plugs".
everthing on him is all screwed to him,NO GLUE was used,and anypiece that needs to be removed for tforming attaches with earth magnets.his black bfg can also tform into yet another tower for city mode.the red and black on his legs is all vinyl.i'm still debating on if and where to add more details and vinyl to his upper body but this guy's been warming a shelf now for a few years so it's kinda hard to go back to him after doing so many projects since.sooner or later though........

how much is done via parts-forming? I see you remove the head and also place that large piece in its place...

 

also the little ramp with the emblem on it.for battlestation mode his red twin cannon can plug into a hole where his head sits.his black bfg after tforming(which only involves swinging the gun grip inside of it then flipping the stock 90degrees)attaches to either ramp side in city mode.

Very Creative. I always felt metroplex needed an update.

 

That just brings so much Macross to mind. Any plans on going further with the colors on him? Even if you dont, I still think it's awesome.

Dude that's really nice. It's cool that you found a use for unicron that doesn't involve a combiner. Not that there's anything wrong with combiners, my gripe is with the unicron mold itself. I hate the whole 3/4 of a planet thing about him, but you took it and made it into something that looks really good!

That's pretty awesome. I wish he had more of a city look to him, but maybe I'm just spoiled by Anemis' giant.

 

This is so awesome, I hope they make a classics remake this cool.

city/base modes look nice. Bot mode is not bad. I think a bit more color detailing to break up the white would make it look better IMO. Initially when I first saw it, I thought it's primered in white and that it's still a WIP.

I really like how well you kitbashed all of these parts to create a figure that flows really well. I'd like to see more color, but that's something that can be added anytime. The fact that he's really packing some serious firepower screams Metroplex to me as much as the cool city mode you made for him. I love how that he really feels like a nice update of an old favorite as well. Great work man
