I know, Botcon is doing the whole "Pretender Metalhawk" thing, but it looks nothing like the version of Metalhawk we've been seeing in the comics as of late. Now, obviously, its still WAY early, but do you think they could possible make a Classics version of him? Totally addicted to that design.

Maybe if he's a popular reoccurring character but keep in mind drift took a couple of years to get out

I think the way BotCon gets permission from Hasbro in their toy choices is that Hasbro has no plans to do the character themselves for at least a certain number of years. So no, I don't think we'll see a Hasbro Metalhawk this decade.

By the time they ever do get around to it, I'm sure the current comics series will be long over and mostly forgotten. Who knows, IDW might not even still retain the license by that point. Which is not a comment on the comic's quality or worth; just an indication of how long from now I'd expect this to be.

Is there a particular, existing mold you're hoping Hasbro will repaint with a robot head, or something altogether new?

I don't think hasbro really cares. The turn around time from botcon scourge to generations scourge was really fast. I don't think a repaint will stop hasbro from making an all new mold also the turnaround time for a comic is much shorter then a toy. I would bet IDw metalhawk was designed months after work started on botcon metalhawk

i think if the figures are vastly different they can do it... and Scourge was about a year and a half to 2 years later... it'd be pretty cool to get a new mold for Metalhawks interior though since Botcon is doing the outer shell...

Yeah, that's a good point. I didn't think of Scourge.
