    Even more than the colored version, the gray shots truly show the incredible detail on this piece.

    Yeesh, that's a lot of detail. Not that that's a bad thing.

    Even the mesh in the flutes of the helmet.

    The grill part around his helmet is actually textured using a transparency map to create the holes. I would be crazy to try and model those holes. :lol  Its basically the only part of the entire model which I used some sort of texture. Everything else is physically modeled. :D

    Me Grimlock see lots of repurposed and tiled doo-dads in mesh!

    Looks great and the hands are extremely detailed. A lot of the creative liberties really help to bring out the life of Megatron.

    The detail level is sick!!!! But the most important is that model has perfect proportions too... Great job Venksta. I wish I could do models like this. Is it very tricky?!?

    Hehe, that was the main reason for the extra details. To make him look like a 30 ft giant robot that could step on you. :D

    Nothing interesting really. I only model what can usually be seen. Otherwise, its kind of a waste. :lol

    I modeled him over the course of a year. But maybe a month if I didn't stop and take time off of it. Most of the delay was due to the face. I was trying to get the G1 toon look, but also make it look good for the model.
