    Good day, good sirs and madams, could you help me out with something? I want to buy a Megatron for my Classics collection, but I'm torn between Classics Megatron (the nerf gun one) and Generations WFC Megatron. There are two things I'm considering;

    1. The posability. Classics Megatron is nice and ratcheted, but his arms look hindered by his cannon. WFC Megatron looks relatively unhindered by his cannon, but his arms look a little weird, especially since the elbow is a transformation joint. Which Megatron is better articulated, and which Megatron looks more natural when being posed?

    2. The scale. Most of my collection is Deluxe-oriented ; I have one Ultra (Onslaught) and one Voyager (Lugnut) but the rest are deluxes. Would Classics Megatron look ridiculously huge compared to figures like Universe Hound, RTS Jazz or even Lugnut? Also, I have a WFC Prime- I wouldn't mind buying a Classics Prime to go with Megatron, but how is Classics Megatron compared to WFC Prime, and how are Classics Prime & Megatron compared to other deluxes?

I would really appreciate it if you could help me out...

I'd say WFC Megs is the way to go. For one, Classics Megatron isn't quite as conveniently posable as you might think; between the stiffness of the ratchets in his knees and his lack of foot articulation, it's difficult to pose his legs. Plus, WFC Megatron is more in scale with the rest of your collection from the sound of it, and he has G1 colors (unless you were planning on getting one of the Japanese releases of Classics Megatron, which are in more G1-inspired colors).

I'd say WfC. Admittedly I only have the WfC, not the Classics, but he looks better to me, from the pics I've seen. Plus if you care anything at all about "show" accuracy, the Classics version hasn't shown up in anything unless it's in convention comics, whereas WfC Megs is from, well, WfC.

    Henkei/United.

If it's classics, I prefer G1 accuracy. Being bigger than most of the other Decepticons is a plus. Don't bother if you want a ton of posability though.

Aye, he did turn up in the club magazine and one timelines botcon comic.

I do adore the Nerf Gun Megatron though, he's tall and regal.

WfC Megs is also pretty good, I prefer the United colour scheme though, the dark metallic grey works better in my eyes.

    WfC.
I've gotten more fun out of that one than the classic.

Get United. Worth the money and more. Avoids the horrific colors of the "Classics" version and is a better representation than the WfC Megatron.

If cost is an issue, go WfC.

The WfC is a fantastic little figure, and probably the best Megatron figure I've ever seen. However, I prefer the United version for its size and Classics aesthetic, but I had to modify mine a fair amount to get it that way.

-Removed hip ratchets, replaced with rubber o-rings
    -Removed wings
-Replaced cannon with my Shapeways IDW cannon

He's a partsformer now, but that's fine for display purposes.

Classics (as others have said, United). I actually like the classics one for some reason, but United is better. With all the Cybertron stuff coming out in the next run of Generations, I think that Megs will be better suited for that shelf than my Classics collection. Though the gun mode is a bit goofy, it is nice to have a bigger Megs to lead the D-Cons, and I don't think he is terrible to pose. Nerfy is just more classics to me.

Henkei or United. The Classics one is all green and other weird colors, but the Henkei and United ones look closer to the original Megatron.

For now, WFC Megs is my classics. I have the 2 pack classics Optimus, so the comparison isn't as awful as if I were to have the Voyager Optimus.

However, as soon as Hegemon gets released, he and classics voyager Prime will be replacing those two.

My vote is cast for the Classics/ United/ Henkei version. Megs is supposed to be bigger than his puny troops and adversaries :)  It's plenty articulated too, I've never had any problem posing it. The WfC Deluxe isn't bad but I don't think it fits a Classics G1 display.

the WFC is slightly disappointing to me. coincidentally, I was considering replacing Classics Prime with WFC Prime cos I think he can pose slightly better, but he's just not big enough compared to Sunstreaker. Classics Prime is a little blocky but he's got a nice heroic silhouette

Classics NERF Megatron is too dorky; WFC is better.

I use RTS Legends Megatron, with his gun barrel painted of course.

For aesthetics, size, alt mode (close enough considering) & color scheme I have United Megatron as my Classic Decepticon leader.
