Just an observation......if this is the classics line...total homage to G1. Shouldn't the Decepticons' packaging be purple?

I still can't get over the fact that he's got green eyes instead of red!

The Packaging is great and all, but I really can't get into Classic's Megatron, The fact that he has no alt mode interactivity with other figures is a major downer for me.
IMO this guy has less of an Alt mode than CYB Metroplex or Menasor, at least they can interact with other alt modes.

The Robot mode is good, except for the transparent green wings, and the orange cannon tip, but the lack of a decent Alt mode just brings the whole figure down. If I saw him on clearence, I'd buy him for £12.50 or less, no higher.

So far, Only Astrotrain and Starscream have interested me, but Astro looks about scout sized in Robot Mode, (see pic compared to G1 Astro, who is tiny)

Hopefully these guys will be hitting store shelves soon. Also, wonder when BBTS is going to get around to putting up preorders for them?

I wonder why nobody who's gotten an inpackage sample hasn't taken pics of the back of the box yet? I really want to see what they've kept from the old Cybertron (bios, tech specs) and what's possibly changed (layout wise and whatenot).

As for Megatron himself... never did want to see him as a gun again and this is pretty much why. He has no alt mode interaction with the other toys in the line. He's got a decent robot mode, but I don't really find it to be "classic" if you get what I mean... it incorporates too much of the AEC-esque Megatron into his robot mode and not enough G1 robot style... with the exception of the bucket head.

This is why that upcoming 2 pack tank Megs will most likely be leading my Classic Decepticons.

I'm not saying that I won't be getting Classics Megatron, but Tank Megs seems more G1 than the gun Megs IMO (and that's saying a lot considering we haven't even seen pics of the Tank Megatron, and that the design is based off the G2 mold)

I wonder if this is why Hasbro is putting out that Prime/Megatron 2 pack...hmmm....

At least it takes up the box well enough.

I wonder if there's still any chance they'll change that green on him to something else...if they drop that the toy would look so much better. I assume probably not though.

Yeah, don't count on that....it's way too late for them to make any changes like that at this point.

It would be nice though, wouldn't it?

Yeah, I also always thought Megatron as a gun was pretty stupid. I mean, how uncool is it for the almighty Emperor of Destruction to be completely reliant on one of his minions for anything when he transforms?

I think this is the area where Hasbro really dropped the ball on this figure. To satisfy my concerns about interactivity, all they would have had to do was include an accessory that is a scaled-down version of Megs' alt mode that can be held by other figures in the Classics line. That would have been great.

I agree with You guys completely, and with these thing's in mind, I fear for Classics Soundwave (If he's made) It seems as if he will suffer from the same problem as Megs, useless-Alt-mode-syndrome.
Sometimes I really do wonder how far away we are from having Transformers that turn into Household appliances, they'd be about as functional.
