Well for 2 days I'm stuck on the legs since the default are so friggin' skinny :(  I hope to find a solution... I Also found the original beast and robot arms way to thin, so I kinda fixed that ;)  the holes for the Leds are drilled.. led test fitting was working yesterday and enough room for batteries + switch :p

O and btw found a way to hide that robot head it's on a lego balljoint but both the balljoint and the socket are on 2 individual sliding mechanisms so it goes as far away up as is allowed by the cramped space availble ;)

any suggestions for the legs are welcome... for now I gues i'll just articulated the standard legs *sigh* there's not much room for error in the legslide mechanism :(

Almost forgot to mention found a way to articulate the MonkeyPrime legs so that they can function as hands, it was actually childsplay todo this :p

    UPDATE1:
Damnzz now I tried 2 different things... but WOW was that easy thnx for the tip!

    ]UPDATE2:
Well it's being cleaned at the moment, tommorow I'll start painting..
the day after It'll be done ;)  thnx for the support guys!!

    UPDATE3:
Well stay tuned, almost done ;)  just little more time for curing paint and wiring the leds and mounting a switch!

    update3B:
Not much, but I couldn't sleep so I put the pieces together for botmode...
After I wake up it's time to test Alt-mode, then electrics and finally the Grimlock gold detailing will be light grey/silver'ish.. afterwards touching up!

nice work, the alt mode is fantastic but yeah those legs are a problem, I would recomend trying to articulate the existing legs and see how that goes.

If you've got one, energon Grimlock's legs or even Animated, may work...
But this is awesome none the less!

You are certainly a machine. This is pretty damn creative, I'd be interested in seeing it done.

    thnx :) !

Thank you I agree after seeing Turboedguy's version !!! :p

Yeah I have one, but not really feeling it ... thanx though who knows I might still do!

    WOW DUDE Love your work!!
Any chance in showing of how you did the hips? it's kinda hard to tell ;) THNX!!

    Why thnx! :D

hahah yeah that's what happens when you have to much time in no normal life and/or friends (due to sickness) and it's gonna get even more hectic since my GF is going away for school 6months (and also having doubts about our relation ship, since she hasn't got friends either and can't seem to find a hobby)
Sorry for the (perhaps)unnecessary info... but needing to vent somehow :rolleyes2

you could also try to use the seeker mold legs. Not sure if it would fit though but worth a look.

I used a square aluminum shaft to fit the hips to the existing slide portion of his body. Hope this helps.

Love what you've done here... I've got an old Gnaw kicking around, and I may borrow a couple of your ideas (finally a use for that TFA Swoop flail!).

Turboedguy's godlike re-articulation skills are definitely impressive, but I think I'll probably just steal a pair of legs from another figure. :D

    DAAAAAAAAAAMN!! Genius!

I LOVE the easy way out. I don't kitbash for the challenges... I just want the toys! :D

I have a Classics Grimlock that I don't care much for. His gray might be close to matching Gnaw's deco (unlike the Overkill version). Stealing Masterpiece Grimlock's dino-arms is a bold move though...

I guess it could but I need all the seekers legs I can get for other much needed smaller customs, btw think they would be little out of scale but could be used to reshell with GNAWS legs... thnx

DUDE seriously that way cool!!! PROPS... decided to go another route but thnnx for showing, can never have to many ideas put into mah brainz ;)

thanks bro! yeah hehe finally it comes to good use :p

DUDE!!! that rocks I even have a spare C.Grimlock but think I'll use his bodyparts for a future abominus :p  thnx for sharing mate!

Agree that are the best things when not wanting to scratchbuild hehe ;)

Well if he used 10 MP Grimlocks perhaps to make the other MP Dinobots or asked Mike(F/R) he prolly spared a life :D
