According to his bio, Detritus is a Junkion who sells his services to the highest bidder. He continually repairs himself with junk on the battlefield, perhaps explaining why he looks nothing like a Junkion anymore. So I figure maybe in his earlier days he was more or less still an Autobot, and was more immediately recognizable as a Junkion. This version of Detritus was a commision, and was built with more of a Junkion influence. The spikes that adorn his left arm, shins and shield comes from ROTF Lockdown, as did the spare tire shield itself and the exhaust pipes on his legs. The axe is scratchbuilt from styrene, and the little goatee is also styrene. I wanted to use a paint scheme similar to the ehobby toy, but I really wanted to avoid the pink tint, and contrary to my usual stuff, I used flat paints this time. Colors used were Model Master Sand, Tamiya Bronze, Tamiya Desert Yellow, and Model Master Chevy Engine Red. Thanks for looking!
Very clean. You've done a masterful job with this. I had to go back and re read because I thought the axe and the tire were from an old toy. They look so clean like they came from the factory. Whoever commissioned this should be extremely pleased.
robots and beards do mix pretty good although I would have used I slight darker alloy... But both modes look amazing!!!
Definitely impressed with this piece!! Love the Junkions and Jarrod rocked this one for me as always!! Thanks Bro!! Lethal Injection~
Paint work is super clean dude highly impressed. My only critique is that he looks too clean to be a junkion.. I would think he would have some more scratches and scars, part of his crash bar broken etc... Not a knock against your work though...
Thanks, I was really pleased with the axe myself! Haha, years of practice. Nah, its not my style, I like my clean paintjobs. Besides, the Junkions were never really depicted to be beat-up looking, or in disrepair. Wreackgar was always shiny and new looking.
