Yes, I remember another thread about past characters that fit well with classics, and I am sorry if I tread on someone elses' water....but classics Megatron looks really cool next to Cybertron Soundwave and Energon Shockwave...err, Shockblast....

By the way, is Cybertron Smokescreen (redeco) a good enough mold to buy to represent G1 Smokescreen?

    Delete if needed....all mighty mods!:thumb

I have discussed this with some freinds of mine. I think Energon Bulkhead looks good with Classics Rodimus, as Springer and Hot Rod.

Megs does in fact go good with Soundwave and Shockblast.

Smokescreen seems decent enough to me. In fact, people have been sitcking Bumblebee in with their Alt collections.

Cyb Smokescreen is a great Classics Smokey. He's even got the shoulder launchers.

Alt mode is cool, but his robot form looks lame in my opinion. If this was classics Smokey I wouldn't even bother with him.

Cybertron Smokescreen is fine in car mode, but his robot head looks like Actionmaster Rad.

Yeah, Cybertron Smokescreen is a brilliant repaint, but wouldn't cut it as well as an original mold.

Personally, Classics are too small to really mesh. Sure, Bulkhead and Rodimus are nice in theory, but then BH towers over them all.

Only one I'd use it Energon Rodimus...as Rodimus Prime.

The deluxes are about the size of an average deluxe from one of the mainlines. Only a few above average deluxes (IE: Cyb Hot Shot) are actually taller and than they aren't taller by much... maybe a head in artistic terms.

    As for the Voyagers...

Megatron fits in nicely with Voyagers/Megas from any line as he's about the same size as the average Voyager/Mega... only ones I can think of that are larger in robot mode are some of the Energon Autobots, but they're larger than the average Voyager/Mega anyways... same with Vector Prime. He's about a head taller than Megatron, but it doesn't make much of a difference really.

As for Prime, well, he's short for a Voyager anyways and the average Voyager/Mega is already a head taller than him. Vector Prime and most of the Energon Autobot Megas stand two heads taller than him. Evac is almost the same height as him, but than Evac was also kind of small in robot mode for a Voyager. The only Megas that seem to stand even with Prime are the ones from RID and Beast Wars/Machines, but those are smaller than the Voyagers/Megas of today so it makes sense that they would. Still doesn't effect how cool he looks next to some of these guys if you like to mix and match series in your displays.

Personally I figure Cybertron Smokescreen is as close as we'll get to a Classics Smokescreen anytime in the near future. If it comes out at some point, great! But till then, Smokescreen will be standing alongside my Classics. Though his face doesn't look much like G1 Smokescreen (man I wish they had made the yellow on him gold), but he does have the following going for him:

-Based on a real car, and a super-cool one at that
-Hood on the chest, doors flaring up by the shoulders
-Shoulder launchers (though I wish they were white)
-A visor and headlamps (for navigating though clouds of smoke!)
-A flamethrower (for, well, EMITTING clouds of smoke)

Sure a new head mold would have been nice, but the color scheme is so cool I forgive it.

I have my Hot Rod battling Unicron and it looks sweet.

I thought about importing some others, but haven't had the time to reorganize.

cybertron smoksceen works, as does energon downshift/superlink wheel jack, Cybertron Blurr and runamuck work as well. The titniums are also around the same size. So scouge will go well with the line as will ultra magnus

I'm trying to decide where I want to put my Classics Astrotrain. He's kinda different than any of the other lines. Cybertron Thunderblast and Energon Sharkticon, maybe?
