Jet mode is a bit awkward for trying to compromise between G1 toy and cartoon designs, but overal I'm quite pleased. I'll sit in the bleachers with everyone else that plans to buy all Classics so far (and not just for completion's sake)

Well so far I intend to buy all the classics from the pics I have seen, even though Megatron does look kind of goofy.

Heh...I just noticed on the Hasbro picks of the Classics line on their Transformers website that they included the old "rubbing emblem" from the good old days in this line.

    Truly Classic.

After looking at him some more I'm curious as to whether he has outward arm articulation

Okay, now I want G1 jetfire, which costs five times more than this one which I still have no interest in.

    You bastard.

agreed. anyone who's been deprived and wants to know what the original Jetfire was all about can just buy a bandai reissue valk. G1 Jetfire's an awesome toy, but i've been there done that since 84.

this is exciting for me simply because it's the first TF-branded Jetfire that is both original and an awesome looking reinterpretation of a valk and cartoon skyfire; a decent compromise indeed.

mirage gun is his front fender.

supposedly, it attaches to his body to become a pelvic piece but weve yet to receive visual confirmation, roger roger.

(hmm, "does mirage's gun attach to his torso?" could be my new catchphrase...)

Hey butz, thanks for reposting that pic, the original at the top of the thread isn't working for me.

Gotta say... this is probably the nicest G1 Classic yet. This line is going to make me poor again.

    Sweet!

I was looking forward to Starscream and Astrotrain the most, but now Jetfire tops the list.

Oh, who am I kidding? I'm gonna end up getting them all anyway :D

Can't wait for this to come out. I just got G1 and I am going to love having these side by side.

    Holy Cow! :D

Hmm, on second thought, his hip articulation looks rather dodgy, a bit like Armada Jetfire's or Energon Omega Supreme's with the forward swivels below the crotch. Not a deal breaker if that's the case but it'd be a little disappointing after a year of almost all BW standard articulation.

Did a search in the thread and didn't see where anybody had posted this, so my bad if it's already been mentioned, but did anybody notice Hot Rod has TWO guns?
