I'm trying to remove the wings on my Classics Jetfire, Henkei if you want to get technical. I removed the screws and the 2 pieces that sandwich the wings together are freakin glued. I've read before about how some people will soak parts in alcohol to disolve glue but I don't want to ruin the paint on this. Can anyone offer any advice?

That's about your only option, or let it be.

I don't think alcohol is good to soak in.

Acetone - nail polish remover - will dissolve plastics. Maybe a few drops where the glue is and a hair dryer to heat that area up will locally cause the glue to crack?

I put an alcohol on my G1 Jetfire in an experiment to clean it and it stripped the paint off in places.

Keep searching for an answer and maybe post this question in Radicons.

I thought the wings were pinned in place?

they're pinned, you'd need to heat the pins and pull them. but i'd be careful, doing it wrong will wreck the figure
