Well I finally found a Jetfire and thought that he deserved to be panel lined. I used a gray but maybe should have used a lighter gray. In person its not as big of a contrast as it is in the pictures. I still may go back over the lines with a lighter gray.

I would like to find another Jeftire to turn into an Evil Jetfire.

That does look supremely better panel-lined. Great work, how did you panel line it?

Good God, that's badass. That's got to be the only way you could possibly improve him, but it made a world of difference.

    Gundam paint markers, right?

    Thanks for the compliments.

I didn't use markers on this because I don't have a gray marker and I wanted a different look.

I instead thinned down some gray paint, soaked a long skinny detail brush, and touched the brush to the panel lines. Capillary action does the rest. After it dries, I wipe away the excess leaving only the lines.

I sometimes like this method better than the markers because the paint will find its own course and go into areas that would appear dirty or recessed in real life. Its hard to do that with a marker.

.001 Micron Pens work just as good as Gundam Markers. Damnit...now I have to panel line mine. :(

How'd you wipe it away after it dried? How did you remove that paint without removing the factory paint?

Damped a shop towel in thinner and gently wiped it away. The factory paint didn't react with the thinner much, if at all. If you do it right, you won't have to wipe much on the red paint.

I'm just not doing customs for other people, I still do it for myself as just a hobby.

After staring at him for a while, I'm going to try a lighter gray, its starting to bug me. I'll post some comparison pics later tonight if I get it done.

Ok, here are some updated pics. I did half in the new gray, its lighter and nearly as contrasting as the other gray. Tell me what you think. The right hand side of the pictures is the new color (Jetfire's left)

I also painted the vent thingy at his shoulder black.
