I repainted him to be more realistic looking and a tiny bit more G1 (silver face over blue face). I secured it back into its spot within my collection where it looks a whole lot better now. I'll be doing Ratchet next!

Thanks! I want to paint on the yellow stripes that are original to Iron hide but I don't have any way of doing it except for using masking tape as a border to paint within and I think that is not going to be a good idea. Please, any suggestions on how to properly do this??? I don't have an airbrush.

Actually, I think that's the best way to go about that.

Pretty good job overall on this.

I'm starting to think I'm the only one who likes to see the chestplates swapped with Ratchet. Hah

    Thanks for the comments Guys!

I think I'll have to go and get some special painter tape or something and try to experiment with that first on another figure for those yellow stripes.

I am trying to figure out what I can do to give him a decent looking rear bumper...
I hate the way the back of the suv looks because of that..

But the silver face and such go a long way to making that bot mode look much prettier!

    Update

I agree! At first before I painted this one, I kind of placed it in the back of other figures because I thought he wasn't to great to look at. Now, he stands right in the front. I did the accent colors on his left side yesterday, it looks better.

I still need to do the square on his forehead too.

Yeah, it was one of my first. I didn't do anything to the vehicle mode at all so it's just a regular classics ironhide suv with no customs except the yellow stripe in vehicle mode, you guys would all be diappointed. I thought about painting the outer shell a deeper red but I'll wait until I have an airbrush for that.
