I felt we all got cheated! Did not love this toy although I wanted to. I fixed his head to sit somewhat flush, painted him a deeper red and G1-ified his ass! Red forearms, metallically uniform waist and thighs. Got rid of that movie-esque chest and made his shoulders and arms the same dark grey they should have been. Couldnt do anything about the jigsaw effect and Oh yeah, and as you can see, his windows are no longer "sky bluuuuue" wtf? Painted the inside of his rear and windshields the same smokey grey so that it wouldnt appear painted an not lose the window effect. Added some extra detail to his grill and painted underneath all his lamps silver to really differentiate it from the red. Hope you guys like him but Im sure HE wont care what you think!!

Thanks Hank. I actually did take the guard off and it looked better. I even painted it black at one point and that wasnt bad either. I like how taking it off doesnt make it seem like theres sumtn missing since it attatches behind the grill.

You did a good job on your version of Ironhide. I don't see anything wrong with it and thats good. So he's ready to scraps some Decepticreeps, like he always does.

Everything you did with your Ironhide is exactly what I want to do to mine. I only hope I can pull it off half as well as you did.

Good job on this one. I'm trying to figure out what color I want to paint his windows myself. Already did the silver face, which is an absolute must on this guy. I also have some gold trim to throw on him too.

Looks damn good! My only suggestion would be to paint his rims silver. The all black wheels was lazy on Hasbro's part. Otherwise looks awesome!

Much better than the way he came, the placement of the color scheme is right on. Though I think He really needs a yellow stripe on his side, or a gold one, but if you won't go for it, then I will. great overall job.

The red was Krylon Fusion. Since he was red already it was an easy app. The silver and the dark grey was Rustoleum aluminum and Rustoleum dark grey and the windows were a mix of black and white folkart enamels.
