Hey guys! I know this has been done several times before, but I've had this on the go for a little while now and thought with the release fo the Universe Ironhide I had better get this done! I hope you guys like it!
you know, I've got one of these about a third of the way done. now I know what I'll be doing to finish it up! this is the best one of these I've seen, what did you use for the head?
I agree, ckhtiger. He did a great job on this and it certainly is one of the best ones I've seen. If I'm not mistaken, the head is from Classics Astrotrain. As a matter of fact, I also have one of these about 2/3 of the way complete, using that very head (with a few slight mods to it). Keep up the great work, bro!
I DID have one of these WIP ages ago, but I melted the sled part in a fit of impatience during a tough dye bath *heh* oh well, now that we're getting a real one, I don't feel so bad anymore
Thanks guys!! The head is a slightly moded Classics Astrotrain. The thingy on the shoulder I was going to use it as a possible shoulder mount for a gun, but never panned out and I forgot to remove it.
What kind of paint did you use? I have this on my to do list as well. I could only hope it comes out half as good.
Ooo I like the idea of the gray bumpers/fenders. I may have to steal that from ya and add that to mine. . Great work!
Thanks for the kind words guys! The paint I used was Krylon Red Pepper and the the other paints were a variety of Ral Partha, Testors and Games Workshop paint. Wombat King...feel free to use it. The color I used on the bumpers was Ral Partha Steel. Happy I could help
