    finished for now.
the build up of this bot is in a seperate thread somewhere if you guys are wondering what was used and for what.

his bio from the idw comics so far=

decepticon fundamentalist and softly-spoken leader of the D.J.D.
    music lover,classical scholar,and mass murderer.
    addicted to changing shape.

un-plug his turret/double fusion cannon from the top of his tank.(it plugs into the hole that's stock in a classics jetfire, originally used for his upper canopy flap.
flip the upper panel back and over on top, exposing the back of his head.
fold his front canopy/death plow thing down to a 90 degree angle(necessary for the transformation of the arm assembly)........peek-a-boo!!
fold the ends of the barricade/plow thing up.
    spread his thrusters/boosters/toes apart.
rotate his inner arm assembly 180 degrees to form his robo trapezoids.
extend the treads outwards, extend and fold the tank treads in half, spin the forearms around and also spin the fists around.the right arm in this pic is not transformed yet and shows what it looks like underneath him in alt mode all compressed.

this is what you end up with once the arms are done.

    extend his legs.
fold front canopy/plow thing back down and into his chest.

flip bot head down, flip plow sides back out and against his chest, flip up landing gear, revealing robo knee caps, split legs apart and finally plug his double fusion cannon into either fore-arm,preferably his right.

reverse order of instructions to revert back to alt mode.

I gotta say, I was kind of skeptical on how this would turn out based on your wip thread, but throwing paint on really pulled the whole thing together. The finished project looks great.

    Wow! He looks fantastic!!!

I love how close your work got to the original concept of this character. You paintwork brings your version even closer. Your version is brutal and great in scale, and although the build is very different than mine, the concept of our altmodes are quite similar.

Great head sculpt, it captures that "mistery" about the "real guy" that could be behind the mask.

I'm using a different shade of purple on mine, I have just ordered the paints and I think they will take a few days to arrive...Sheesh...

Again, great work pal! Are you planning to build his fellows too?

thanks, and yeah, it's hard sometimes to envision something when it's all multi-funky colored chunks and bits cobbled together.

thanks, but unfortunately this guy already has a permanent home in a detolf case:wink:

    thanks!

    thanks!!

if i find a way to lay my grubby mitts on a extra rotf powerbots devastator, the big djd bot with the penchant for shredding his victims may find life:D

the purple i used is actually quite a bit darker in real life,i just really suck at taking pics:eek: .i only recently somehow hit a setting in my camera that finally made it so purple's don't come out blue indoors.

i can't wait till your version is ready to start hunting down those on "the list" either:thumb

    ^thanks for the comments guys!!

also, second post is now edited with the transformation sequence pics for your viewing pleasure:thumbs2:

God I wish I had the disposable cash to buy figures just for spare parts. I yearn for a figure as cool as this.
