So, Hasbro hits one out of the park with Classics...they have great molds that emulate the soul of their respective characters, they reintroduced the character functions, they kept the bios and tech specs, and the line overall is simply splendid. So what's missing?

The freaking box art!!! They left out the gosh-darned box art!!!!! Argh, my childhood is screaming in rape-pains!!!! F--- Hasbro! Die Aaron Archer! I'm sure Michael Bay had something to do with this! Sacrilegious bastards!!!! OMG!!!!1111111!!!!1:horse:

Or not. I do find it kind of odd, though. I mean, that was one of the things I didn't like about Beast Machines (other than the toys themselves) and RiD. They just used crappy little photos. Of course, they used some really good box art for Armada, and we know how that toyline looked (not all bad, but still)...maybe the money is better spent on the toys themselves. Again, not a gripe, just an observation. I could care less so long as the toys are sweet. Plus, if the box isn't so pretty, I don't feel like I have to keep it.

And then, I could say which figures they're missing, but that thread has been done, and this is not it.

Of course, that begs the wistful request: "I wish we could get a playset of some kind, like a city-bot or something." But I think that would definitely be beyond the scope of this "filler" line.

I want G1 style tech specs. Not how the info is spread all over the box on today's toys.

Who knows tho, if it sells really well, maybe it will go further.
    Like the Alternators line.

I second the "robot points" statement. I'd like to see this return. You know, so you can buy toys and save up and send in for free toys.

I just want more figures- Jazz is practically a must, as is Ironhide (plus they both have movie characters named after them, so you'd think they'd want to do Classics of those two). Devastator would also be much appreciated.

I want another one of those big assed cardboard Autobot bases. Those were cool.

I also miss the individual box art, especially since there was a prime slot in the little fold on the packaging

I agree with the unified G1 spec statement. I can't stand the fact that on the boxed toys parts of the bio is on the back top, with more stuff on the side of the box. It's plain stupid that these items are spread out the way they are.

I wish they use better box & box art for the classics too. But not like Alternators; the original alt blue boxes were better than the red ones and much better than the current fish bowls.

I miss the box art too, if only because between Cybertron, BWX, and Alternators, it was getting really good.

I agree with the sentiments for the return of Robot Points, box art, and tech specs. Classics looks to be an awesome toy line, and it would be even better if it had those as well. One of these days, Hasbro's toy development and marketing teams will get back on the same page and WATCH OUT... :p

Minibots. Not Minicons, Minibots. And that little red bit of unnecessary see-through plastic for the tech-specs.

I like the box art myself, but the toys are so gorgeous I'll forgive Hasbro for not adding art this time.:D

I'm fine with no box art, and I'm grateful that Hasbro is now doing bios and tech specs on the boxes again. But I do miss having them on a handy card that can be cut out and saved. Doesn't really make sense that they're spread all over the box like the usually are.
